We're dire, utterly utterly dire.
Want more?
OK, There are many who say Watson is a good coach, if I'm honest I'm not convinced.
Drive. Drive. Drive. Drive. Drive. Ineffectual kick.
That is not the game plan of a coach with ambition or idea and that is exactly what we've just seem, can't think I've seen a Salford team look less competent going forward. When Leigh scored in the 2nd half nothing appeared to change, you can't simply have no plan B when plan A doesn't work and hasn't worked for most of the season.
JLJ, sorry time to drop him, can't take the line on, a kicking game that is beyond words terrible and there is definitely something amiss confidence wise (has been missing since minute one of game one).
Shorrocks is just shite, can't take the line on, doesn't have any creativity and at one point in the 2nd half tried his best to dodge being the closest player as a ball bobbled about in the dead ball area and reluctantly knocked it dead, a career on obscurity in the lower leagues awaits ASAP.
Junior is the only back who can be a battering ram, how the hell we can have Welham taking 2nd hit up in or our 10 is bewildering, Johnson and Olpherts might have pace but they also have Teflon hands and look like they couldn't tackle a children's small portion breakfast.
If Lui isn't fit next week got to play Wood @ 7 and Flash at 6, JS and JLJ shouldn't even be on the coach.
Bitterly disappointed doesn't cut it, a must win game against the bottom side next week and confidence looks shot, lose against Catalans and I can see a slow slide towards 10th place and a squeaky bum end to the season.

Without Lui we're just championship fodder.
I was worried when he got the injury even though I wasn't allowed to comment on it on here. Harsh fact is, we need backs and half-backs that can actually play with him, or when he's not in the side.
The difference to the team is night and day.

Have a kip first before this, I respect your opinion usually but think ur caught up in the moment. Yes we have two poor half backs which have cost us again. Not the end of the world. You forget, we actually have lui ! Keep the faith

Truly terrible.
The intensity lasted ten minutes and then the pack looked knackered. They have been the strongest part of our gameplan so far - if they are knackered then we are done. Lui coming back will mean nothing behind a beaten pack. Sau also looks knackered. McCarthy and Ben were the only players that didn’t look out on their feet.
Shorrocks isn’t good enough but JLJ takes it to another level - he is robbing a living. Is he braindead? You’d assume so after seeing his kicking tonight- aimless bomb after aimless bomb, all of which were caught no problem.
For gods sake sign a winger and get Bibby back in. The two tonight are simply not good enough- can’t catch or keep hold of the ball and don’t do enough in attack to justify risking them.
I’m a fan of Watson but the gameplan was shocking tonight. That being said, if the players had turned up it would have been a different story.
If they lose next week I honestly can’t see more than one or two wins all season. They need to get two players in at a minimum- both backs.
I took two neutrals tonight- they won’t be coming again.

And tonight was a worrying confirmation. Cannot believe how one dimensional we are at times and as MR has said, it's just drive after drive. Lack of creativity is shocking. They need to pick themselves up and quickly.

I have just returned home after watching the most dire Salford performance for a long while. For those of you who stayed at home and watched the crap which was produced on TV then you are the lucky ones. Can someone please tell me how Littlejohn makes this team. His kicking is dire. The high ball was not even high enough for anyone to contest....no kick to the in goal area, what the **** is he on. Apart from a good wage for nothing. I am at a total loss as regards that performance. Basic errors on the 1/2nd tackle. knock on`s in your own half, unable to take a kick, no urgency, no tackle, no pressure. A complete embarrassment and I just see more to come. I really do think the writing is on the wall and I never thought I would say or even think this but please put us out of our misery. The fans who turned out tonight were a credit but I couldn't even tell you, some of the comments that were being made from behind the posts. Yes I and many others Love Salford, but tonight just about summed up the dire straights we are in. In the First half, we were totally knackered...hands on knees and this was after 30 mins. Leigh wanted it more and they weren't brilliant, but hey ho they won. God help us that's all I can say after that. No wonder we don't get the crowds and if I hear someone from the club say...well we have done everything etc etc...then unfortunately no you haven't....the product is shite, except it!

It was the forwards tonight who were the worst, not making the half way line after 4 tackles is appalling. JLJ needs taking out of the team he is shot. Shorrocks is a dud and not interested in Salford. I was saying from the start when it was obvious JLJ was having another mare to put Josh Wood in the halves unfortunately the bloke next to him was also bad. Next week is a huge test lose that and the only place we are going is bottom 2. As for getting rid of Watson, who would come to Salford ? No money no crowds no academy. He would also have to be paid off. He got it totally wrong tactically tonight but was it him dropping balls missing tackles taking crap kicks ?

It was him who come up with the game plan or lack of one. Put it this way - I’d much rather they spent money on players rather than paying off Watson and paying for a replacement

OK sack him then and bring in who? Please enlighten me. Also pay him off when we have no money. It would be a really good move

Really don’t know where to start with this , agree with Michigan we were dire , what is the aim this season I read a lot about consolidating a top 8 position , are we serious is that going to bring fans in when we set out for mediocrity really ! We were an embarrassment the players look knackered and devoid of any ideas , Shorrocks is rubbish get rid and would told JLJ he could play rugby league? Who selected him on what basis ? As for Watson he has worked miracles given the circus that is Salford , but he needs to be seriously questioned on squad selection in particular why so many forwards at least 5 of which go out on loan or barely get a sniff , we maybe operating on a smaller budget but he is responsible for its assembly, not saying get rid but he needs to be questioned plus it isn’t possible to pay him off .
