Relax,Carnster,it’s not about you. Andy Rosler has been accessible,he has met people,he has listened to them and he has a day job. Koukash has technically left behind debt, but it’s owed to him and he won’t get it back anytime soon so he’s effectively made a donation ! Whoever said the club is now owned by US,whilst maybe not technically correct, has it bang on. Rosler put his hand up and we now survive or fail on what WE do.

Carnster, I think some posters are trying to stay positive but might be taking some of your points to heart as a lot of people respect what you have to say. Don’t think anyone has it in for you or dislikes you. Let’s not all fall out eh?
On progress so far, I think Watson has done a cracking job and can’t understand the criticism. We overachieved last year, lost some key players, have a threadbare squad and no money but are still fighting for 8th. He’s got a good team spirit going and I think if we keep everyone fit and maybe get a spare player or two we could make the top 8.
On the board, I think they are doing ok in a difficult situation. They are basically volunteering as well. I know there are lots of ideas floating around but they can’t implement them all when they have no money. I think next season will be a real struggle unless we can get some sort of investment. It’s pretty obvious that nobody is really interested in rugby league in Salford anymore- too many years of mediocrity and too much competition for interest. I would however like more information on bloody injuries - I know more about the Sailbury poisoning than I do about Manu’s fitness!
I am enjoying the season even though in the back of my mind know we might not have a professional team for long. My point of view is that you don’t mourn something before it’s gone, you enjoy the time you have left.

What I really want to know is if we as fans are now in control of the club why aren't the fans being listened to?
I've said on here I have no interest in joining the fans group, not a big fan of the way some handled things when there was the mooted name change and relocation debate, more power to their elbow but it's not for me, where then is the fans voice for those fans who don't want to become involved with that group?
Doesn't help when you take the time to email Ian Laithwaite but get ignored, even if what I sent was utter garbage a thanks but no thanks would have been simple enough.

Really frustrating when you don’t receive an acknowledgement. Not sure what is Laithwaites skill set ?

What I can't understand is that it's always somebody else's fault.
Admin I think there needs to be another Q & A with Andy Rosler there's too many questions and too many misconceptions. Might also be getting Dave Campbell on who's also busting a gut for no pay but lots of criticism.
There needs to be a reality check.

Pretty fair assessment, I though think the new board are already showing signs of falling into the trap of same old, same old. They are making the right noises but for me those noises seem to be a little hollow. Playing wise we're on a par with what I expected, didn't see Thursday night coming and feel that it might be more of a set back than we realise, another drubbing awaits on Friday and think we'll struggle to beat a resurgent Leigh the week after, someone else mentioned the way our seasons have tailed of alarmingly under Watson, do that this season and we'll be in the Championship if we make it through an off season. Honestly do think if we make the top 8 and survive this year next season will be more stable and we can then aim to progress, it is though a very big IF. As for the Doc we all owe him a debt of gratitude, sure he is a tool of the highest order but as been pointed out it helped the Red Devils name get valuable column inches, I'm disappointed he isn't still involved with the club as feel he has walked a season to early, keep BMM and a bit of a tweek here and there to the squad and for me a top 6 and tilt at the top 4 was a definite possibility. MR you have changed your tune. You continually slagged MK off when he was here and was happy when he went. A lot of people have very short memories. I thank him for saving the club but that’s it. He spat his dummy out when he did not get the Manchester name he wanted. He gave us bad publicity not good. Finally what a great job he did of scrapping the academy despite his lies of building facilities etc for this. The man used Salford for his own means and got what he wanted out of it and left.

"got what he wanted out of it and left" He wanted to lose about £5 million! I hope I am in that situation where I can have that type of ambition.

If he did please show me the evidence to prove this. Did anyone know who he was before he took over Salford? He heightened his profile got people even backing his horses and got free advertising for his various ventures. This is what I mean by he got what he wanted out of Salford. Still waiting for all his promises to come to fruition. If people think having no academy being even more in debt and still stuck with a ridiculous loan agreement for the stadium is progress in his regime then I will have what you are on.

Slight mis-conception there Carnster. The new owners are US the fans. The one person putting any effort in is Andy Rosler, he's a fan, not getting paid and putting endless hours in getting the ship moving again. The other 3 Board members seem to be absent. So the fans own the Club and one person is putting lots of work in and of course Carnster at a distance can criticise OR possibly do something to help your Club which we all partly own. Wonder which it will be? JJR I raised the point not so long ago on this board, I asked a simple question! How were the present board members appointed & what do the other board members bring to the table! I cannot believe the work Andy Rosler gets through but it looks a bit lopsided to me. Do we know when the next fans meeting is likely to be, could not attend the last one?

Sorry, we'll have to disagree: the Salford Star: probably our greatest critic, and so likely to tell the truth over our debts, states "As is the club's debt, with it owing approximately £3million before he took over and now owing £8milion, with £5million of this being to Koukash".(sic) As for people backing his horses... I cannot see how bets by a few supporters really helped anyone except the bookies. And as for heightening his profile: through Rugby League!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm sure he'd done better with association Football.

OK Hillbilly Red let’s agree to disagree😀 Can’t stand the man and even any little hint of him returning should be dissuaded.

I have always been of the opinion that Andy Rosler is the main spokesperson of the board that we have. From the information that is coming out of the club there does appear to be quite a lot going on behind the scenes and perhaps the other members of the board are involved with this initiative that hopefully will link the club up with organisations that we currently do not have link with.

Gunner: Do you mean the Supporters Trust meeting? If so go to their site; I think they have a place you can ask or email.
Prestwich Red: the things I remember are the start (but he brought in Noble, wrongly who probably made his fortune), last year's start, the semi, amazing.....but sadly he ignored the fans and tried to sell it off BUT he still sponsors and supports the Club, he's lost £5m So without him we wouldn't be having this conversation as the Club would be no more. He's a bright bloke, his heart is now here, he's a supporter and he probably has learned his lesson....So let's be positive and forgive and forget. Life's too short to hold grudges and we'll never know the full story.

The supporters trust didn't even exist during the name change and relocation debate so I'm not sure how you can be unhappy with something that didn't even exist. Anyone who is a Salford fan was able to stand for being on their board, so it was hardly a pre established group.
