For once I can honestly say that the best team lost and it wasn't us, credit to all concerned today as we ground out a win.
When I saw that MCB, Griffin and Johnson were all back I feared we might have injury issues during the game but they all appeared to last the game well and in MCB we went looking for the ball more than I've ever seen him, the reports of Wigan looking at him look justified and should be countered at all costs for me.
My only niggle from the evening is why oh why did we take this seasons best player out of the backs and move him into the pack, Jones for me is perfect foil for a MCB/Johnson outside him, brilliant dilemma to have but for me he must just about be the first name on the team sheet each week. He is the best defensive back we have and offers the same high quality options going forward.
Can only assume there is some bad blood from the whole Carney/Massey thing as the entire team looked fired up, BMM had his best game for months and shows what he could be in SL IE unplayable, Kopczak has been a brilliant signing (clone 2 more of him and for me we have a top 6 side at least) and special hats of the new kid who played his heart out and was over with his mates loving his first win for a SL team. Think some of the chanting directed towards Massey was comedy gold, close to the knuckle but gold non the less.
When I saw Mr Mafia after the game and told me the reports of Dragon sorry Chase heading back to Cas I thought he must have been sniffing his step Dads Iron Bru but low and behold all the Cas fans in the pub were buzzing about it, can't see that being anything but a backwards step, brilliant players but he has more baggage than Immelda Marcos after a shopping spree.
