We'll get back to the Catalan obsession with trying to knock a Salford players syrup off at every tackle later.
If I was stood in the South stand and spotted a few frequent and deliberate issues then why the hell didn't the officials?
Firstly just before half time Catalans had an attacking scrum down the right flank and showed no urgency to get 6 formed yet still Hewer stopped the clock, surely you only do this when the attacking team gets the required number of players into positions.
Then on 3 or 4 occasions they did make the effort to form the scrum in a hurry only then for the 6 that did to change, pretty sure this is a technical offence?
As for the continual head hunting by Catalan maybe Greg Bird has been officially promoted to the refs panel and his on field officiating meant that Catalan were just naughty boys where as the 1st time we did it we got a 10 minute opportunity to think about what naughty boys we'd been.
That said Tasi is just a liability, brilliant but FFS someone needs to sort his technique and enthusiasm out.

Nobody seems to bother with raised elbows in the tackle either these days - I saw two that were clear as day.
Ref didn’t have a good game.

Forgot about that, spotted a Catalan and a Salford player use elbows as the lever for getting up, don't want to see any player on any team doing things like that. Another thing I forgot was that a Catalan player went of for a HIA assessment when the trainer and player were clearly indicating it was a shoulder problem, surely that is deliberately breaking the rules?

Solid performance today. Good movement for Evalds and Wellhams try. Ref was poor. How many high shots did he miss on Lui??

Think today was proof that all or nothing should be the mantra for video refs, the late hits that went unpunished was comical, have a good in the stands calling them and the game would have flown and been less niggly.
