Just watched Cats v Wire and that was horrendous as well. Both for the rugby and conditions!

If we wish to play SUMMER rugby in this country, a few things have to happen. 1. Less teams in the super league. 2. Get rid of the magic weekend. 3. Do not introduce super league teams into the challenge cup till as late as poss. 4. Get rid of SKY as we are only a fill in on the channels. When they see fit . 5. Or do away with the stupid play of system we have, which will give us another 8 weeks of summer rugby??? The reason why? summer in this country runs from 1st april maybe till the 2nd week in sept, if we are lucky. I for one would not like less teams in the super league, because we would be one of the first to go. get rid of the play off's. Top of the league wins simple. bottom of the league goes down. And that for me is the only way you will get to play so called summer rugby in this country..

The Castleford Vs. Wigan game has been called off today as well. Can only be a good thing for us, lots of teams with lots of extra games to cram in while we have maximum recovery time.

The British weather defies precise forecasts: only one year ago, we had a heat wave in March. A better one was suffered in 2012! This was followed by a cold and wet 2012 August. Can you remember the (?) Wakefield match under Rhino's regime when it was so hot we had to break the game into quarters to allow sufficient water breaks. Then there was 02/06/75: following blistering weather Saturday 31/05/75, we had enough snow on Monday to stop cricket.
