Watching the Wire v Saints game, I’m starting to think that Salford got a good deal for BMM. He doesn’t look fit at all.
Saints have dominated. Scoreline flatters Warrington to be honest.

As has been said on here before. BMM was only effective when Lui was playing well and giving him the service. He was pretty much absent for the second half of last season and has been the same for Wire. Still dangerous but Wire haven’t worked out how to use him yet.

I stand by my original post on this when MR and Dixon predicted the end of the world by selling him
Personally I'd cash in on him, had a good start to season but as with jones and sau there weight ballooned as season went on and they lost their edge and looked average. The main question should be, if he knew he was selling ( which I'm sure he knew since the end of last season this was his last) why sign manu on a massive contract that has put us in the potential sotuatiomof having to sell to balance the books. Manu was obviously a koukash signing and it's put us in and awkward position.

BMM plays well when he's happy off the field as well as on.
I'll say no more.

I agree towards the end of the season Ben looked like he was finding the weight he had lost at the start of the season, that said when he went to the world cup he looked like a hungry world beater once again.
I've always privately thought that he will be like Tasi when he went to Saints and be unhappy away from the calming family influence that Junior seems to have, this is something that we as fans seem not to appreciate, it's unfortunate that Kevin Locke didn't become part of that family as a huge talent wouldn't now be wasted to the world of RL.
You can also add the family influence Dr K seemed to bring, for all his many deficiencies he did seem to bring out the family aspect at the club with his many huge group get together s at his home or hotel. This is one of the reasons I'd love to see him still involved with the club, sure he misses it, his family miss it and the players/back-room staff miss it.

For me I would rather have a player like TYrone McCarthy whose work ethic is phenomenal. Isn't as explosive as BMM but my god he will run his blood to water for the team every match. BMM is a 1 good game in 5 player and I personally think we got a good deal

will undoubtedly miss from BMM is the hatful of tries he scored last season, think there is only JJ who has the capacity/potential to get into double figures from the back row.

I think Nabukuwai (sp) has got the potential to replace BMM’s input. He doesn’t seem fit yet, is raw and needs some coaching (he turns when he hits the line rather than driving in) but looks like he has the athleticism to do some damage. Don’t know if that will translate to trys but he should start busting some tackles.

Agreed think he could be quite destructive but for some reason I think he will run a little closer to a props line rather than out with ALA BMM and Coley of yesteryear. Think we desperately need to get JJ running from further back and for me Lannon looked to have the ability to be another 2nd row who could skittle a few if he hard hard and straight.

If not, a few people, including Nakubuwai (sp), need there backsides kicking. Six weeks into the season and players 'not fit'? Give over! This is supposed to be a professional game, not Sunday morning pub teams.

I said this too when it was first announced he was leaving, he’ll come back better than ever, same as Lama.

He came over pretty late which is why Watson has eased him in.

Okay. I get that, but he should be fit by now, surely. The WC was quite a long time ago.

There’s a difference between fit and fully fit/firing on all cylinders. He’s plenty fit enough to play but I suspect he’s not quite at his peak. I think he’ll get better as the season goes on and we’ll see the best of him next season
