He must be an unpaid member of the back-room team as I thought all the purse strings were stretched tight as it is.
Not been we seek him here, we seek him there Blease but DOR suits him down to the ground and I'd expect us to start to recruit a little bit more local young talent as he knows this is where the future of the club must lie.

I rate Ian Blease, and his quick reaction to our success last year by signing up the players to new contracts was very impressive.
Less so we’re his leadership qualities when we needed him to say something,anything,when we were in turmoil.
From his viewpoint,he’s going to a much more suitable rôle but makes him vulnerable if there’s a downturn either in results or finances

Can I ask a totally irrelevant question ? Is the Sprouts Farmers Market round your way Just Selling Sprouts? I drove past it the last time I was around there around 18 months ago And have been Curious ever since. I wouldn't won't a Coffee morning in My Neighbourhood at the Moment it's -15c as I right this. |

Just read about Ian Laithwaite on Salford's website he states that any company interested in linking up with Salford should get in touch with him, and he leaves an email address.
Well that just won't work, you have to go out there and get the business yourself. You can't just sit back and expect everyone to be falling over themselves to get involved

His career trajectory doesn't fill you with vast amounts of hope though. JCDecaux (3 yrs) > Wigan Athletic (3 yrs) > Oldham Athletic (5 mths) > Some printing firm in Cheshire (4 mths) > Us (as long as we can stay afloat). Still, best of luck to the guy - certainly seems to make more sense to have Blease in a rugby role and someone with experience in sports club administration as MD. |
