With only Catalans and ourselves now pointless, this for me is a must win. Yes, ok its only 3 games in, but after KR we have saints, cas then Hull and really can't see much from any of them. Don't think we can afford to get too far adrift too soon, for morale sake as much as anything else. More than happy with the effort at Wakefield, but effort alone ain't gonna get us points. Watched KR last night and they looked decent and put an average catalans to bed.
Must win for me. Thoughts?

I personally think even though it is the 3rd game of the season this is a season definer, Hull KR are the type of team we need to be beating to scrape 8th, lose and I think we can ready ourselves for a stint in the middle 8's.

I know it might just be me but I come away from the Wigan game really on downer.First of all I thought Wigan were average at best.So yes I think the KR game is a must win.

Yep, definitely a must win. Especially with Saints and Castleford both away in the following games 😧

It’s a big game and I’ve booked my train tickets up. If we play like we did against Wakefield and they play like they did against Catalans then it should be a Salford win. I think it will be an arm wrestle and close though.
I think the win is needed more for fan morale more than anything. A defeat against the team that tried to poach our best player would not go down well!

I kind of agree but I think I and maybe you have underestimated Wigan this season, they look good. Not that we played well, but my optimism was increased after watching our improvements against wakey. Huge game this Friday. |

Not early days at all. Our early games are our chance to use a big pack in poor conditions to get points posted on the table before the decent weather allows teams with much more pace outside to play a game plan that suits their strengths - and exposes our weaknesses further.
I don't like to post negatives but that's how I see we have built the squad in the off season.

For me Rervers have just 2 key men. Danny Maguire & Nick Lunt. Control both and we win - if we don`t - we lose.
