Just seen this on their Twitter www.tfgm.com/travel-updates/ajbell-stadiumStates there is a shuttle bus from the Trafford Centre from two hours before KO - I won't hold my breath, it'll end up being for Sale games only eventually.

That's pretty good, would have thought they might organise it for the Castle in the Air as they have a discount for ST holders don't they?

Any aid getting fans to ground must be applauded, however a bus service taking in Little Hulton, Swinton Weaste & Eccles would maybe encourage lost supporters back! Am I being too ambitious.

Weaste and Eccles shouldn't really need one either as there are buses already linking the areas with Barton, Agree about LH, Walkden and Swinton though.

The club haven't really got the dough but it would be brilliant if they could arrange transport to and from Irlams o'th' Height/Pendleton that is where a lot of our support reside, a lot of reds past and present drink on the Height and I think if you put a return bus on it would attract more people to come along I have no doubt about that.

I've been told the Supporters Trust are going to run a pilot scheme for transport for the Hull game. Probably from the Precinct, Height etc.
So who really wants it? They'll need to know numbers, pick-up points etc. Payment I understand will be on line via the Club.
If it works it'll be permenant and from more places.
So if this rant is a reality those who want it need to pit their name forward,

If the supporters trust are to trial this initiative we would do well if this could be put into the match day programme & announced before the matches.

Think the most obvious thing is don't try and get the shuttle bus right to the ground before the game, it's a battle you can't win, make a choice either drop at the Unicorn or outside Brookhouse cemetery.
For the after match shuttle make sure it is parked in a location where egress from the stadium doesn't effect the bus actually leaving.

Pick ups from the Height i.e the Aldi or The Wellington on the front where coaches park for day trips (old taxi rank)would be ideal
Small posters advertising game date and coach info in the pubs would be brilliant, I think if people had a coach to and from it would get them on board so fingers crossed!

I think advertising such buses would be the key, do it half arsed and you'll get no interest. Antisocial media, an email from the club and word of mouth are the minimum requirement for this. Route. Antelope (LH), Wetherspoons (Walkden), main bus stop (opposite the town hall Pigtown), Farmers Arms (top of Barton Lane), Red Lion (IOH), Langworthy Road (social club), Chandos (social club), Wetherspoons Eccles, Dog & Partridge (Eccles) then decide if there is to be a collection point nearer the ground or just boot everyone out at the Unicorn. Reckon that route should take an hour so maybe from the last drop off head back towards LH and do the trip twice, the problem would be don't think it would be possible to do it twice after the game if it gets over subscribed. Still say First along with Salford & Sale need to put on a special service from Eccles to the ground, no stops just a flat everyone on for a set price and then the same return, no end of buses, trams and trains would then be an option for people along with Morrisons car park right there also. Might take a little time for the people getting on first but certainly would cover the areas most needed. Us in Worsley will get our own chauffeur driven limo
