I know it's easy to be wise after the event but it seems ridiculous that we have a situation where we can't afford (possibly) to replace Vatuvai and we are loaning out forwards.The balance of the squad is clearly too much in favour of the forwards and it seems incredible that we have a situation where we knowingly went into the season under strength in the backs and no spare cash to cover for an injury.

I'm not in agreement: forwards' injuries were a handicap last season. I will pass judgement as the season continues into the warmer months and see if we can furnish a platform of fit forwards for the backs to show off.

I think the worst aspect of this is that we as fans could see it coming even before the injury to MV.
Ormsby is being mooted which wouldn't be my first choice but it's a case of we're beggars again so can't be choosy.

But he shouldn't be put in without giving Olpherts first option.
If he isn't good enough for Hudds then he isn't for us.....

Oh I agree Olpherts should get the nod above anyone else. There's little point buying in a player with potential and not testing that potential. |
