Agreed. Absolutely can’t fault the effort. Too many mistakes at crucial times and a lack of creativity on the line. But no lack of effort. Tried from first to last. We dominated their massive pack and in the second half we dominated in the backs too.using the platform the forwards laid.
They were on top for the opening 15 minutes but if it wasn’t for that appalling decision by the touch judge not seeing the wake player go in touch when he was stood on the touch judge we would have got through that 0-0. Then they got the flukey/we’ll improvised/poorly defended (delete as applicable) and managed the game well to restrict us for the last 10
Welder, Junior, Mossop, Lui and Burgess were immense. O’Brien was great too and unlucky with his kicks (but should be getting 1 in 3 of touch line kicks

Would totally agree with all of that, littlejohn also has a decent kicking game just needs to offer a bit more creative wise. Can't fault 2nd half effort mind.

I said in the build up I wouldn’t have played littlejohn as I think he looks undercooked. He started slowly but got better at the game went on and showed glimpses in the second half of linking up well with GOB and Lui. His kicking game was solid. Hopefully as he gets more used to the plays and his team mates we will see a lot more from him

I actually thought we were the better team last night and unlucky to come away with nothing.
The effort was fantastic, especially from Hauraki and Sa'u. I also think Josh Woods has raised his game a lot - that was evident in pre-season and he's carried that form in to Super League.
Littlejohn needs a bit more time but looks like a decent player. Kris Welham is the one player which Watson should consider dropping. Championship level these days.

Gutted we didn’t get something out of the game last night, it’s always painful when you score more tries than the opposition but still lose 😔.
Thought we played really well though, and can’t fault the effort at all. We should be okay against Hull KR on that showing, fingers crossed.
