I would just say we have to play our biggest mobile pack,(incl Ben N) JLJ and Lui in the halves and Olpherts must be on one of the wings to give us real pace and size. TBH from there other than Sau I don't know who really deserves/is best to play in the other spots? Just my thoughts. Cheers, Lets hope they all surprise us, put on a show and win, as I certainly don't want us to get spanked Live on TV. (basically they have to get it right or it will be bad news in lots of ways I expect)

I’m looking forward to this but at the same time I’m not too optimistic - Wakefield away is always a terrible game that we usually lose! A half decent performance and I’ll be happy

Doesn't make things any easier when we have to defend 4/5 consecutive sets on our line and that prick liner misses the foot in touch.
Why didn't he go to the VR before h made us drop out?👿

Defending well but we must be the poorest attacking team in the league. Absolutely no threat. Yet again too many penalties giving away easy yards. Unbelievably we are still in this, come on Salford

Good game that. Defence was spot on. Wakefield definitely had the rub of the green.
Hopefully we’ll get a bit more fluent in attack as Lui and Littlejohn play together more - O’Brien was the biggest threat in attack until Lui woke up in the last 15 mins.
Thought McCarthy was superb. Sau tackled man on man all night - Welham take note.

Really can’t fault the defence and the effort overall, they gave everything. I think we deserved to come away with the points. Game plan was good from Watto second half and very nearly pulled it off. Fair play

Haven’t seen the stats but up against Tupou and Johnstone he missed 1 or 2 tackles I reckon. His reads were good, he stopped a few breaks after the line was broken from them getting an overlap. A few times Wakefield tried their go to move if passing it out to their left early in tackle count but Welham snuffed it out McCarthy was ok but his passing isn’t great (we desperately need flash back), he gave a couple of stupid penalties away and was far from our best forward - jones and Hauraki were better in the back row and Mossop, Tasi, Kopczak and Burgess all outclassed him

Agree about Flash. We really miss him.

Thought he was poor for most of the game but I’ll admit that he perked up at the end with a couple of good runs and the try. We’ll agree to disagree on McCarthy. He’s not Flash but I don’t expect him to be - did a lot of grafting.
