I’d go for..... Evalds Olpherts Welham Sa'u Bibby Lui O'Brien Mossop Tomkins Tasi Hauraki Jones McCarthy Griffin/Nakubuwai Wood Kopczak Burgess I’d like to see Big Ben get a run out and I think Griffin was the worst forward last week (and at the end of last season) I’d give Welham another run out. We were repeatedly outnumbered on that side last week. That was a structural thing rather than an individual failing. That said I’d like to see Olpherts get a go and I’d rather keep Bibby in the side than Johnson I’d agree with this and think it’s the most likely lineup. Can’t see him m making massive changes after one game.

We looked much better last week with LittleJohn at 7 Obrien at 1 so i can’t see that spine changing espicially since we now have Tomkins to go back to 9.

Think we have to get JLJ into the starting 13, maybe as JJR suggests in the 3/4's there is no sense in bringing in a quality NRL player and having him not even in the 17.
Ben Obi Wan Kenobi (cheers BGM) must be in there too, again what's the point in bringing in a big bruiser to replace BMM and not playing him, I'd go the whole hog and play Olpherts on the wing too, we need pace and with either JJ or Junior inside him he'll have a leader with plenty of experience who can tackle all day long.

Apparently Nakubuwai is struggling to get up to match fitness at the moment which really showed in the pre season to be honest. Griffin will take his place until then i suppose.

Anyone else want to see Littlejohn start or at least play in the halves ? He was on the bench last week but came on as hooker I think. It was only late on when Greg came off, Niall went to the wing and Gaz went to full back Sid we then see Littlejohn and Lui combine and Niall scored in the corner. The modern trend to rotate hookers means there’s only 3 bench spots left and they need to be forwards or ‘middles’ so rotate GOB and evalds at FB weeks at a time and give Lui and Littlejohn game time together in the halves.

How the hell can that be he played most of the World Cup? Thought that players coming from overseas had a minimum fitness level requirement and trained with local clubs to help achieve it. Oh God! He's not inherited Fekas golden Greggs loyalty card has he

I fancy us to win the forwards battle but Wakey are going to seriously tear us apart on the edges. Have you seen the size of Wakeys forwards? They are huge in the front row and strong, fast and mobile in the backrow. And as you say they are lightening out wide. Wakey by plenty.

Very sadly have to agree but not so much because of Wakey's strengths as much as SRD's clear weaknesses. Wakey are a good side and the Red Devils don't look capable of competing with good at the moment, hope it changes!

Quite a few of our fans tipping us bizarrely in the ESPL!😱 It's normally one of those games that could/should go either way but on the respective showing of each team last week I'd anticipate us getting an 18-20 start with the bookies which would be more than realistic.

I’ve gone for a Wakefield win. They are a god team and are at home but let’s have a reality check here. We played a team tipped to be in the top 4. Wakefield were playing the team just promoted and tipped to finish in the bottom 2

You could also argue the opposite way and say Hull KR would play above themselves with it being their first game back in SL and Wigan would be undercooked and it was a good time for us to play them. Wakey have some destructive runners in the pack and if they get on top their backs will have more than enough quality ball to feed off which could destroy us.

I think everyone including myself is worried about their pace/wingers but that being said it was the same last year in the QF and we ended up winning comfortably so fingers crossed (not getting my hopes up though!)

Wakey have some destructive runners in the pack and if they get on top their backs will have more than enough quality ball to feed off which could destroy us. I agree with that. Interestingly I think we more than held our own against the pack last night but we were outnumbered out wide every time they moved it. There were times they made no metres at all in the first 4 tackles and then moved it to their left and away they went. The classic being when they chipped over and then hacked it on to score a try after the 4th tackle ha£ them inside their 30 wakefield’s game plan is often to shift the ball early so I hope we’ve worked on our defensive structures a bit
