After witnessing the congestion at the last game (albeit from the pavement), it's possible I will be asked by out-of-town fans where to park. I know there will be good links up the new road soon. However can you still park at the Roosters' place?

Pretty sure that's only enforceable if the residents have parking permits, which they don't.

I erred on the side of caution on Friday and decided not to take a chance and in fairness some the parking on that lane on match days was atrocious to put it mildly.

I always park opposite St Mikes, have a pint in there and walk down to the stadium.

cheers: I used to advise the Roosters as it was easier to join the motorway than the mess around the stadium. I wonder if the RU club would allow parking (and I hear the beer is good)(yes I know RU ...)

The only problem with parking at the aerodrome is that you still have to come off the motorway and along Liverpool Rd. we stayed on the motorway an extra junction and parked for free at chill factor and then walked up. Still missed the first 5 minutes though and kids moaned about the walk.

Parked for free directly outside Castle in the Air Wetherspoons at Chill Factore, pint and tea in there, 20 min walk to the ground. First visit to this spoons but there were a few Salford and Wigan fans in, plus a couple of framed signed Salford shirts on display. Avoided congestion after.

I was away but I'm very curious as to how it went traffic wise.
The Bridge has been miraculous during rush hour but from the couple of Sale games I've worked through it's just as chaotic as ever.

The traffic from Worsley on the M60 was the worst that I have for ages it took 50 minutes from the Worsley roundabout to the lights at the end of the slip road. The new road has been a big improvement over the last few weeks but the Highways Agency should be subject to some redundancies the way they have handled the so called improvements on the M60.

How far is the ground from Eccles tram station? I will be making my first visit to the AJBell when we play HKR later this month. I don't mind a bit of a walk.

You could probably do it in about an hour - plenty of pubs along the way as well. Could always jump on a 67 bus or in a taxi if it's wet too. As an aside, does anyone know if that path is still open which ran parallel to the canal, and brought you out on Langland Drive off Peel Green Road?

It's 2 miles around a 40 min walk , I'd get the Bus from Eccles tram station Number 67 the Quickest there's also the Number 100 But that goes via the Trafford Centre , Definitely somewhere to avoid on a Friday after 5pm Massive traffic
