I agree with everything said to be honest. Watson clearly doesn’t know his best 17 yet even though there’s been one change to the main spine. To get some consistency he needs to grow a pair and make his mind up with the Evalds/Obrien saga and roll with it. As much as i’d blame Watson for not changing Whelham it just looks like the funds to bring in a new outside back just isnt there like it was under Marwan. It’s sad but at the moment we’re sounding more and more like a championship team in terms of budget.

Watson has clearly decided to give last years squad first dibs. That’s fine but it’s worrying that the lessons of last year haven’t been learned except the fact that he wanted a stronger pack, which is what he now has. Welham, second half of last year, displayed an awful defence which is what he was known for when we signed him. The O’Brien versus Evalds quandry splits the fans, like it did last year. Evalds is stand out yet we attack best when O’Brien hits the line as an extra pivot. They’ve tried Evalds on the wing,JJ in the centre. Johnson’s confidence must be shattered. All in all,it seems a mess. He needs to change it for Wakefield . I’d drop Welham and play Bibby in the centre. Olpherts on the wing if he’s fit. Littlejohn to start at half back. I would also play GOB at full back, but that’s the most difficult call and I understand the argument for keeping Evalds there. Agree with all of those changes
