He's gone to Whitehaven for a month.Seems odd to Sign a Decent player and not give him a chance , Couldn't be any worse than Some of Last night squad.

Keeps him match fit and playing at a higher level than our dual reg club. Out of interest, which prop from last night’s team would you have picked him over?

He's slightly Bigger and Stronger than George Griffin, I would have had him on the Bench. And as shown last night Griffin does get Sinbinned fairly regularly

Ok, but George Griffin actually played loose forward when McCarthy went off, so in your situation we’d have no loose. IMO Nzoungou, Bennion and Nakubuwai are all squad players at the min so can see why 2 of them have been loaned out in order to maintain match fitness.

Whitehaven Only have Two championship games and a friendly tomorrow in the 4 weeks he'll be in loan, Travelling up to Cumbria in February a few times a week isn't the most appealing proposition.

Tbh from what I saw I the friendlies he looked a bit raw and naive. Could do with some experience of playing against so tough old pro to learn when to squeeze and angles to run. In my eyes he is behind Murray as well so not going to get first team quite yet

We also have an abundance of forwards, so it makes sense to keep him match fit for when the injuries start to roll in.

By all accounts he had a blinder, really dynamic try scoring performance.

The biggest problem we have is we have not replaced Dobson brains.

I think when he come on against Wigan he put him in the second row.We have square pegs in round holes ie Evalds best position is Full Back Obrien is not good enough at half back we have got problems no pace.

Watson has clearly decided to give last years squad first dibs. That’s fine but it’s worrying that the lessons of last year haven’t been learned except the fact that he wanted a stronger pack, which is what he now has. Welham, second half of last year, displayed an awful defence which is what he was known for when we signed him. The O’Brien versus Evalds quandry splits the fans, like it did last year. Evalds is stand out yet we attack best when O’Brien hits the line as an extra pivot. They’ve tried Evalds on the wing,JJ in the centre. Johnson’s confidence must be shattered. All in all,it seems a mess. He needs to change it for Wakefield . I’d drop Welham and play Bibby in the centre. Olpherts on the wing if he’s fit. Littlejohn to start at half back. I would also play GOB at full back, but that’s the most difficult call and I understand the argument for keeping Evalds there.

Yes he as a conundrum Evalds or Obrien at full back.Evalds isn't a winger or centre and Obrien isn't an half back.Welham is just not good enough in my opinion. We bring in an half back from Australia and he puts him in the second row what's that all about.Yes we played Wigan but only an average Wigan.Friday was a continuation from the second half of last season.

A position he played 9 times in the NRL last season for Wests. Watto had to play him there as Logan and Brining were out injured.
