We are duel reg with Oldham, draft one of their wingers in Seriously though it depends what the injury is, is it snap or a tear. I got a tear once was only out 5 weeks Exactly. We don't know the severity of the injury yet. If it's a mild tear then possibly 2 to 3 months as he simply cannot be rushed back with this type of injury. If it's a complete rupture then that's that sadly.

DOOM AND GLOOM merchants are on the case already dont worry, we will finish bottom. Blame Koukash for signing him , Manu was over rated , too old blah blah blah.
GET BEHIND THE TEAM. Get your head out of the sand and think postive,

Terrible luck for both us and manu. Im so worried for our backline its so weak its scary What’s the difference from last years back line? Olpherts added and bibby has had another year growing. Not as bad as soon people make out but am sure they would have liked another one. Manu always worries me under high kicks, so at least with olpherts/evalds is feel more secure Sorry to disagree but if you were at the Swinton game you will have seen Olpherts dealing disastrously with one high ball. Johnson and Evalds also don’t deal with kicks to the corner too well. The clued up coaches will be so aware of the weakness. Manu is no weaker than the three players named.

Let’s just see what the diagnosis is first before anything else takes place, the players health is more important than anything else at present.

Time for either Bibby or Olpherts to shine. We could even put Evalds back on the wing and move O'Brien to Full-Back. Evalds is not a winger we found that out last season. His best position is full back square pegs in round holes dosent work in my opinion.

Realistically our backline is not good enough its very thin, bar sau and vatuvei who is out long term it lacks depth and quality. Forwards however we are overloaded so hopefully these will get us on the front foot and win us games

Not ideal preparation, however we must move on & get behind the squad, there will be many more twists & turns & I refuse to enter into all the negativity before a ball has been kicked.

We wouldn't be able to pay his contract up? or is theire insurance for this? Have often wondered that myself, you'd think that Dr K might get involved in this as he was blatantly signed by him not Watson. You'd also think here would be lots of free cap to spend as this new kid can't possibly command the same wages, I'd be looking at another back as we have shown already we are paper thin before the halves.

The cap isn’t the issue ,as we’re not spending the maximum. Whoever signed him is irrelevant. He’s injured in training. Rugby teams don’t normally buy insurance for this sort of thing, too expensive. If he goes back home early and we can agree a payment that’s lower than he’d had if he’d stayed then there might be some cash available. Also,I suspect Andrew Rosler held back a few quid for this sort of contingency.
