With most games being played on Thursday and Friday nights, by the time Saturday arrives, mostly all the games have been played.Leaving no Superleague coverage all weekend. Apart from if Catalans's home fixtures. The Top Of The Table clash between Warrington and Hull played on Sky fetched a respectable 10.500 crowd, however, if this fixture was played Sunday afternoon Hull would've filled their contingent and no doubt Warrington would have packed the gaff to the rafters.
I'd prefer to ditch the Thursday night game, players love the Thursday-Friday night fixtures because it free's their weekend up, so they can go on the lash on Friday/Saturday nights And that has come from the horses mouth.
I would like to see the traditional Sundays brought back providing your fixture isn't televised, therefore, I'd like to see;
Friday Night Game- Saturday night Game- Sunday night game- Plus Extended Highlights Match Of The Day style, Showing all tries from the other Sunday Afternoon Games, with punditry
I believe Sky are well out of touch with our game. The BT Sport coverage of Union puts Sky's coverage of Superleague to shame.
Thoughts.

I don't think they're killing the game but they're not exactly helping either. There are a number of plus points but they've lost their way as they cater more and more for Vichykick.

Sky for me are 100% bad for the game, the commentators are unashamedly biased, watched Channel 9's cover of a Panthers game and Phil Gould was on the box (the Panthers CEO), he was the harshest critic. The people they have calling the game focus on the negatives happening rather than the game and well the commentators are just cack.
Don't see why the BBC don't bid, wouldn't cost a fortune and would be a good source of weekly live sporting events.

We’ve been here before, haven’t we. Rightly or wrongly, some clubs prefer Friday nights to cater for their corporate offering.
I’m with you on Thursday, but the other thing is that future TV deals may even see the fixtures staggered over a longer weekend; the NRL is Thursday to Monday, indeed this week’s Challenge Cup ties are all on TV from Thursday to Saturday, and there are at least 12 Friday night Premier League fixtures on Sky Sports in the upcoming season. Google and Amazon might muscle into the UK arena next time round, so I’d expect there to be more disruption rather than less.

My problem with Sky, apart from Murdoch, is that it's really a half-arsed effort. NRL and Premier Sports show every single RL game, every single week. Sky shows a couple every weekend, with worse and worse coverage, abandoning the midweek magazine shows, and very little advertisement. It feels like they bought the rights to prevent others doing so, and couldn't really give a toss about the sport. Sky are not killing the game outright, but it feels like they are slowly smothering us with a pillow.

Careful what you wish for,everybody. Sky are sound enough but need surgery. Even Stevo knows he's past his sell by date but he's been a net contributor to the game. Hemmings should go,simply because it's time for a change We wouldn't have the game as we now know it without them. BBC would be great but it simply isn't going to happen. For such a minority sport,we have excellent coverage but that isn't to say we shouldn't be looking for improvement.

Decent comments, The commentary, and punditry personnel on Sky, really does require a complete overhaul. Hemmings, Stevo, Barry McDermott, Terry O'Connor really bore me to tears. They frequently repeat the same old cliches.Carney's improving his linguistic's by stringing sentences together now without getting muddled up and tongue tied. I call it Clarkyitus, as Phil Clark had a Bout of this nervous disposition, and still does sometimes, by tripping over his tongue whilst babbling fluently in Pie. Jon Wells seems to be the standout and most insightful personality, worthy of keeping his place. Considering Carney, Clarke, McDermott, Stephenson, O'Connor and Wells all played at a decent level I only see Wells at the touchscreen offering anything insightful into the televised game. Whereas Australia's Channel Nine team with the following:
Team One
Presenters- Peter Sterling, Yvonne Samson Commentator.- Ray Warren Main Pundits - Joey Johns, Phil Gould, Brett Finch, Touchline analysis - Brad Fittler
Team Two.
Presenters - Paul Vautin, Erin Molan Commentator- Ray Hadlee Main Pundits - Wally Lewis, Darren Lockyer, Gordon Tallis Touchline Analysis - Kevin Walters
This format and Match punditry analysis on Channel 9 Australia, heavily outweighs's Sky's feeble dismal analysis in terms of insightful information vocalized by the above punditry teams. So if Sky isn't killing our game by moving fixtures away from the weekend with a feeble team of presenters, then they're definitely guilty of smothering the game with a large feathered pillow.
