Didn't you just know that we would be reading "Leeds get their season back on track by beating Salford"
Expect we might be reading about Huddersfield doing the same next week
Keep telling myself that this season is all about giving the young lads a chance, to earn a contract. Then next season will be when we sort out the deadwood and make super signings.
Then next season will be our season

Yeah, it's pretty hard to be optimistic at the moment.
We've made huge strides this season, but the usual circus that turns up midway through a season has once again derailed everything. It would be nice for us to have a season, for once, regardless of where we finish that is without some off-field drama. The points getting deducted has to have had an effect on the team. Instead of being buoyed by being in the top eight all season, they have gotten nervous and are playing like it. Maybe next season will be the one season where nothing exciting happens off the pitch. We can only dream I suppose.
I could see our loss to Leeds since the fixtures came out regardless.
The prospect of competing in the wooden spoon competition again this season, except with way better teams this time around, fills me with a little bit of dread.

I agree. There was a time when losing at Leeds by one try would have been hailed as a success, and maybe it will again next season. Psychologically, the 6 point deduction has to have affected performances,as we don't really know what our objective is, obviously apart from winning. The really big positive is that we are more competitive this season than for many years. We have a decent side, youngsters are being given fair opportunity and we can see them sink or swim. Finishing 8 th is a dubious honour. The bottom 4 is far more enjoyable, anyway,I keep telling myself,as I continue taking the pills.

The thought of a middle 8's which includes Leeds, Huddersfield and another decent SL team leaves me worried too. I'm actually more worried about Leigh turning us over with our cast offs! It looked straightforward last year until we got hammered by Bradford Bulls.
