Signed on a 2 year deal from Warrington's reserve grade. 20 year old Prop who won Warrington's U19s player of the year in 2015.

I like the fact that we're snapping-up young talent from other Clubs as well as developing our own. Watsheens know what they want. The future looks bright.

When we sign kids like this it makes me wish that one of the Docs better ideas had have been followed through with, when he said he was looking at building an academy at Barton it really would have been his best investment to date, still hope something similar comes to fruition. Would be much easier to get good young talent from other clubs systems if parents could see the training and assistance they would get was second to non.

Looks a decent prospect. Still young, plenty to learn as a front rower. I trust Watsheens to make the right call.

After watching Tangata in the Summer Bash, I'm not overly impressed. He scored a try, however, after closer inspection I felt Halifax's other Two props in Moore and Boyle were the brute enforcers which caved Featherstone's set of forwards. Tangata didn't put a foot wrong either did he stand out. There were plenty of forwards out there who looked a better deal than Tangata over the weekend. The shop window was open and you have to Strutt Your Stuff at these Big Game events to get yourself noted. I'd be more inclined to go for Achurch than Tangata. A precious quota place would be freed too
Daniel Murray looks a good young robust nuisance, Great attributes for a Prop. Good find.

Said when this was first mooted he didn't overly impress me, at best a squad place and with limited overseas spots a seat warmer isn't what you use one as. If someone like Wigan is after Charlie Gubb we should be looking other new/fringe NRL players.
I'm pretty surprised that Sheens hasn't fostered a working relationship with Wests, they seem to have a good production line of talent and you can see the benefits of us sending young talent that way and them this, a sharing of ideas is never a bad thing.

I'm pretty sure Sheens's relationship with Wests is somewhat lukewarm at best at present. Was there a tribunal of some sort?
I was lead to believe we had some sort of relationship with Cronulla just prior to Sheens's arrival. Sean Flanagan invited Iestyn over to observe his workmanship and to be mentored. It obviously fizzled out when Sheens came onto the scene but having a dual registration with one of the NRL clubs could be a thing of the future I'm definitely not privy to know whether it'll be worthwhile or not.
