Aye it's like hunt for Red October round here.
Isn't there a way to prevent brand new users from creating topics in the board settings (or at least require mod approval).
I know there was on PHPBB based boards i used to run but don't know what system this one runs on

Thank you all for your patience while I clear up this mess.
It looks like the spambots are coming from Moscow and the IP address + longitude and latitude coordinates are a stones throw from an address near the Marshal Zhukov Monument - literally a stones' throw from Red Square.
