Talking to a couple of first teamers last night and I asked about visit, they said magic weekend would probably be his first game.

Marwan has just tweeted "I am hearing one of our boys will be making his debut on Saturday".
I'm guessing this is Vidot? Fingers crossed.
EDIT: Confirmed that Vidot is indeed making his debut

Good news for us. I just hope that everyone's expectations are grounded. He's not played in a long while so he's going to be a touch rusty. I think he'll definitely be used in the same vain as Carney. They are both real metre makers as well as finishers. Vidot brings a lot of strength and athleticism to the role to. Saying that, he's also pretty aggressive, so if we expected a calm customer, don't be too disappointed if he gives a few penalties away. Looking forward to seeing him in that red shirt...

Really glad he's back just as Griffin is confirmed as crocked, annoyed as hell I'm not going to be able to watch it on the box. I am wondering though if he is going to play centre with Evalds outside him? Sau, Carney on one side and Vidot, Evalds on the other is certainly a pretty good 3/4 line when you consider we have MCB, Griffin and Johnson all injured.

Not the worst debut I've ever witnessed and not the best debut either. He didn't do anything inspiring, then again he didn't put a foot wrong. He's obviously not up to scratch with his match fitness which will take a couple of games to instil, and a better time to call out the jury.

I noticed that certain parts of the internet are actually saying that he's a pudding and another Junior Langi! Such insightful RL knowledge after watching a player play one game. I'm not sure what drives certain aspects of Salford fans psyche. I remember being in the Shed when Paul Shaw came on for his debut and promptly knocked-on with his first touch. I remember hearing some fans around me saying to get him off and send him back to Australia!
I don't really understand that type of mentality.
Got to give players a chance before casting judgement.
While Vidot didn't set the world alight, neither did anyone else. Give him chance to get up to match fitness and get some game time and I'm sure he'll come good.

All great players have an Aura about them. And Paul Shaw had that look too. You can mostly tell a great player just by looking at his swagger. The odd freak like Bevan at Warrington defies this logic. Vidot to me doesn't have this aura of swaggered greatness.

Don't think anyone has really said he's going to be a superstar, just that he's a good player that should do really well in SL.
As for his performance give the guy a break he hasn't played for about 6 months, I'll reserve judgement till he gets a few games under his belt and gets a feel for the style of SL and how our team performs.

I pray to God this waste of space is paid up and shipped off. Serious lack of skill and heart , plus a waste of a quota spot

Well, he certainly wasn't on fire last season.
He really needs to step up if he wants to be a regular starter next season.

Think he has some off field issues, no doubt he has the ability but does he have the commitment and heart, and is it too much of a risk
