Just been reading this. If they insist on keeping to Manchester someone will come in no worries. If Swinton them it might just be curtains. It's all a bluff. Imagine someone trying to change the name of a club... I'm not surprised they've gone ape **** are you? How did we do when it was mooted a few years ago? They will come to a compromise on the name and all the directors will be reinstated. Or they're fucked good and proper.

Tie him down to a new contract, then if a club comes in for him they have pay whatever to get him out of it Yeah. Tell him to sign it. Jeez. He's an ambitious man. We all know he will end up with a bigger job than Salford. But Let's not forget last year he was being lambasted left right and centre until hastings won us the playoffs. And blease signed him didn't he? His stock is high right now and I wouldn't be surprised if another big club came in for him and he went. Next year he might be shite again...

In fairness hes probably seen how poorly John Wilkinson was treated by the Salford fans and thought balls to that.

We weren't poor particularly but it was an awfully stop start game. Didn't show much in attack for 70 minutes they defended well but the stoppages jesus. That little turd who wore the shirt and wore the scarf 10 games before he left was never off the pitch. Probably hastings worst game since he arrived but still pulled the strings towards the end. Scoreline flattered us in the end but I'll take that til the end of the season. Beer was the worst it's ever been btw lines not been cleaned since last home game...

Yes,I looked at the accounts but they use the small company exemption so very little detail, apart from a charge being put on the club and then discharged. Didn’t study it closely as it’s probably part and parcel of being hand to mouth ! Which was my point about lack of transparency. Look, i'm not suggesting there is something untoward in the accounts, only that they should be more detailed.

The devils advocate thing is overrated, trust me,I know ! I think the reason for lack of response is that nobody’s interested. It is what it is, and knowing greater detail wouldn’t change a single thing, nor could we influence it I take the general point but i think if we knew the detail it certainly could be changed and influenced. A club that asks it's fans for money to sign players because they are skint SHOULD be transparent in the books rather than take the easy option.

I really wonder sometimes what our fans are on when talking about players being sold or let go to other clubs and what a disgrace it is. WE HAVE NO MONEY. It is a miracle that we are still here and competing. It’s another rebuild next year, no superstars just hard working players who have a point to prove in some cases and others who see Salford as a stepping stone to bigger and better things. It will always be this way with maximum crowds of around 4K. I applaud IW IB and the board for having sense and not going the pay over the top route for average players of previous management. Not sure to whom you are referring but it certainly shouldn't be me. I've already said I have no problem letting Sau go now. I'm just asking HOW WE HAVE NO MONEY... Our wage bill is covered and then some by the RFL. We pay no rent on our ground. If we have 2000 season ticket holders lets call that £150 quid each taking into account juniors etc giving us another £300,000. Catalans at home is always going to be a poor cash week so lets say £15000 per home game? Another £195,000. Squad builder? £60,000 if i remember correctly. Not to mention sponsorship, golden gamble, merchandise (I know, I know...) I'm just playing devil's advocate here but nobody seems to have the answers.

Agreed and I'm not suggesting we should have kept Sau. It just puzzles me how a club can be given 1.8m quid a year and still be massively skint. What are our overheads?
