The idea that the like of Thompson et al would have referred anything to VAR ... I knew some of that set of refs and NO CHANCE. It wasn't pig headiness but a pride in their craft.

"If we are carrying players with injuries (other than long-term absentee's) then the club need to inform fans" Sensible. Here Wigan, run at X as he's got no strength in his knees, then pass to who is on the left side of Y as he's still groggy from a cold.

If you're travelling by train: plan it carefully. Transpennine services are affected by strikes. The Northern route to Leeds via Rochdale is a bus service with trains from Rochdale on.

For me, the point is that we are still and need to be in Super League. We are not popular with the armchair pundits who want us to compete with soccer and the rest. If a local hero comes in and does a Snape, great. But do not expect us to be accepted by the M6/M1 fraternity. Welcome to criticism.
I am proud of being a Salford fan. Nothing is easy for us. That person needs to know that. But as we Sallies know, the rewards are wonderful.

Agree Russ: what to say?
A loss and I hope he's sat with some of our departed greats talking over times at the Willows.

Border Reivers: invented blackmail and never took a back step.
Look at the style of play of both Rugby codes up there. BR I agree,
On the other hand, I rate Johnson even though some questioned his size. He's a good 'un.

Quite bluntly, we've been spoiled by Evalds Patten, and Gary Broadbent. Not to mention Charlton for those of us on bus passes.

"People focus on what he can’t do, rather than what he offers." Sounds typical of much comment.

If allowed we would have a legal case to put to solicitors also to be exempt.
In my poor opinion, two more teams in SL would help... why should a youngster want to play in SL when the chances of being selected are reduced by the same small number of teams. Oopps sorry Saints, Pies, Lids ... you need your income don't you!

My old jousting mate. I will have a drink (or few) of Belgian beer over the next few days in his memory. Not brown (or amber) or he'd be upset.
Well one just so he remembers it's me!

Dixon, careful we're not remembering a golden age that was not there.
I'd agree in certain areas we've not progressed as we should have. However the game reflects society ... it always will and always has. I'd love to go back to 1972 for tonnes of reasons but cannot. I still think we have a product that once experienced is wonderful. You're reading a person's thoughts who was a home and away United fan but does not even watch a soccer game even if it is on in a pub I am in.
It is easy to criticise but if it does not lead to improvement, why?
