Yes but if they qualify: they are in. Looking at the games I've watched (like many, all live on TV, except Greece v England as I was in A&E with a broken hand) it seems as if we have two leagues. I would hate to set it up as I'd be enemy no 1, but cannot we look at this? This would allow (say) Brazil v Canada in a America Cup played alongside (not necessarily in the World Cup country) with a trophy and a winner entrance to play (say) the Maoris for another trophy (say the Jimmy Peters Cup)? Grow the game or it will die.

Can't see Sneyd playing from the start with Williams captain ... but still going tonight!
Bateman is a favourite of Warne (as is Hall)

"Elite 10 league" Paring down for reduced funding. Sky can have 3 Hull Derbies and 2 Sts v Wigan derbies.
Mind you it suggests why Leigh/Featherstone have gambled so much: if it goes to 10 and a franchise, this will be your ONLY chance.

Interestingly, today's Times and Mail are reporting on the continued Worcester RU issues (?: I do not read them but am following a story in the Internet) .
"Worcester were awarded a £15 million loan on February 17, 2021 as part of the government’s Sport Survival Package, which was managed by Sport England to help clubs stay afloat during the pandemic....The creditor claims that a series of transactions, funded and approved by Sport England, has left Worcester “completely unsustainable” as a club and the prospect of a sale “extremely difficult”. (Times)
"Sportsmail has learned the details of a major change to Worcester's tenancy at Sixways Stadium that was approved by public body Sport England last month, with owners Colin Goldring and Jason Whittingham transferring ownership of the ground to a new company which will retain all of the club's matchday, hospitality and sponsorship income.
It appears the extraordinary move has jeopardised the proposed sale of the club, threatened the livelihoods of businesses and put £15million of taxpayers' money at risk." (Mail)
Ouch: to have such PUBLIC financial support.

Oh saw this in another forum " Not a Salford fan ever, detest them, but appalling decisions against them. They had no chance. "

Look, we're going to be the underdogs no matter what we want. Suits me. A lefty in the 80's. Ran RL teams in a soccer-focused school. Still wearing a tie to work. Love progressive rock and folk.
As I keep reminding people, just because MacDees sell more than the best restaurants does NOT mean they are better.
We are quality: the fans, the staff, the player and the coaches. Lots pf people would be happy to wipe us off. But we stay. I've shown the Huddersfield videos of our singing to "football" mad friends and all were amazed. I am mocked at work for bringing Salford RLFC up at every chance: but they watch the scores and comment on them. I've got persons in Rochdale watching out for us. Why keep trying? Because we are quality.
Let's not argue with each other. Rightfully we have something wonderful. Use it.

Good grief, the way Warrington and Leigh are signing, you would think we'll be playing 18 a side next year.

"not penalised at the time" I'm getting a feeling that referees are concentrating on letting the game continue unless it is very dangerous, preventing a possible try or repeat offences with allowing the panel to catch up culprits later. If it was that clobbering Brierley, I feel it would have been different if it were in their 20 metres or he had not got up so quickly ("Touch Judges, what did you see?").
I am not including that trip at Leeds: that was poor refereeing.
