Delighted with yesterdays win. Really important that we keep racking up the wins to stay in touch with the top couple of places and with saints starting to find form behind us. Could do with another big win or two to help our points difference (by far the worst of the top 7) but I’m happy with the wins however they come. To be 2 points off top spot at this stage is amazing.
Well done Hull keeping Wire closer to us and Cas keeping Leeds well behind us. Shame Hudds and Wakey couldn’t do us a favour too but they were always long shots!

The HDM site is horrendous to navigate with all the pop-ups/adverts etc and is every bit as bad as the MEN. 💯 Drives me mad

Dupree was happy to sign a new contract a few months ago,the reason Dupree is not happy is he wants extra now he knows what hull kr are offering him, again the club have not done anything wrong but he wants more!as for the offer 200,000 for a lad that’s played less than a year of super league, any club would look at selling!I spoke to someone high up from Warrington the other day and even they said if it was them they would snap there hand off 200,000 in todays game is a lot of money they said!it’s not about decimating the squad as we have had offers for most of them in the last couple of months but the amount that’s on offer is silly money! Think it has been a bit mishandled by the club which has unsettled him (the 4 weeks to reply to KR is a hint of that). Agree £150-200k is silly money and we should take it really but we don’t have the depth of squad or resources that Warrington do. So we have to worry about when it happens and have a ready made replacement than they would have to Problem is it has become an ‘are we a selling club or not’ issue. ‘Non-selling clubs’ may also sell if loads of money is offered but we don’t feel like we are selling from a position of strength

If we don’t offer him a new contract we won’t keep him. Think that’s what Rowley meant when he referred to Salford paying him what he’s worth. The transfer request makes that more difficult from a club management point of view but significantly strengthens Dupree’s hand.
I think in an ideal world, Dupree/his rep should have sat down with the club for an open conversation - when he signed his new contract nobody knew how good he would be this year and his market value has gone up. It’s a short career so can’t sit on a £50k a year contract (if he’s on that much!) for 3 years when he could double that elsewhere. The club should have responded something like ‘keep playing this well and if you’re still in England form at the end of the season we will look at an increased offer’.
Not entirely convinced the whole club hierarchy has been in the same place all the way through this but I think they are now.

Hull KR rumoured to be trying to bring Jack Walker in from Bradford with immediate effect. To cover fullback while Coote and Ryan are out. Possibly longer term replacement for Coote
He looked god when he broke through at Leeds. Was it injuries or form that saw him not build on his early promise?

Don’t agree that Watkins and Stone did nothing. Stone got the assist for Sneyd’s try after breaking through the line and Watkins set up the chance for Cross’s break that led to Sneyd’s try by breaking a tackle offloading to Croft.
According to the official stats. Watkins missed 2 tackles and Stone 5. They were our top tacklers with 26 and 24 respectively. Watkins made 8 carries, Stone 12 with average metres gained of 7 and 6 which only Sio (10) and Hellewell (8) beat. King also got 7 and a few got 6.
Our edge defence is poor at times. That’s partly because the centres and halves shoot out a lot so if they get it wrong (as Cross did twice on Sunday) then we’re in trouble. 2nd towers then have to compensate. We are definitely missing something in attack this year. Feels like we’re playing a lot flatter and hitting the lead runner more often than last year which I assume is a tactic. But we do look more static at times. Maybe that’s cos more energy is going on defence this year?
We struggle to get out of our own 40 by driving the ball. For all Dupree’s strengths he doesn’t tend to make many metres on an average carry, esp after contact. Hellewell has impressed me in his short spells over last two games.

Dupree played well. All our forwards dominated by the Hull pack for the first 29 minutes or so but once Tyler got his try he and the team seemed to step up a gear.
Lots of good stuff today but at times we seemed determined to throw our lead away with daft errors and poor decision making
But we got over the line again. Back in the 6

Hope Lafai and Sio are sufficiently fit
If they are I would go with:
Brieley Sio Cross Lafai Burgess Croft Sneyd Ormondroyd Ackers King Watkins Stone Partington
Atkin Dupree Sidlow Hellewell

Go on the Wigan 🤣 I was gutted when KR came back from 14-4. Hopefully, it knocks some stuffing out of them for next week. Sickener for them 😁 and more importantly 2 points for me ij the prediction league. If smith had converted one of his misses I would have got maximum points!
