I cannot understand why May 1st is the date - should be Sep 1 for me.
We need a money man -----fast ---------- to maintain a stable situation.

We are a development club, we bring in lower league/released players and give them the platform to have a career in the game. Minus a few years under Koukash this has always been the case.
I am ok being an over achiever every now and again, if another club is interested in our players it is because of what the club and coaches have helped to do.
If we have to bring in 5 or 6 every year then so be it. I will continue to support where and when I can.

Hastings has just tweeted he’s signed nowhere and isn’t even close to making a decision. Can we try and ignore the papers a bit until deals have actually been signed? It’s getting a bit daft already. If you believe what has been printed JJ has signed for 3 clubs and Olpherts is the most in demand winger in the league. I’m taking it all with a pinch of salt.

To be fair, Hastings had DEFINITELY signed for Wigan last year. Let’s just wait and see..

Each week LE becomes less and less relevant, with today's instant anti social media headlines an outlet that must wait a week to 'break' a story becomes more reliant with shall we say fleshing out the wildest rumour.

I spoke with IB last Thursday and he was quite clear, we have a good chance to keep Jacko but the guy is understandibly in demand. We need to improve the pot of money currently available to Watto.
I have just posted on the 'writing on the wall' thread to seek your help

It’s getting like football, if United were to buy everybody they are linked with they would be spending next season £5 billion on players, agents and pundits talking players up for more money.

Hastings to Wigan Jones to Leeds Olpherts to Cas Abdull to Salford Hard but interesting! If Hastings stays then him and Abdull would be interesting. If he leaves then no1 target for 7 for me should be Sammut or Drinkwater.

I wonder what would happen if the club said to us “We can keep Hastings but we will need to raise £xxxxxx through the squad builder by August.” Basically we know that Hastings would stay if we can raise the money, so how can we raise the money?

I mentioned that on Twitter but was half joking. It would be an excellent way to raise money but puts Hastings in a difficult position especially if we didn’t meet the target. Not sure it’s legal or even ethical either. A ‘target’ of some sort is needed though- last time it was the promise of bringing a player in for the middle 8s (and Lussick was strongly linked at the time so we had a good idea of whatbwe were ‘buying’).
