Been watching a few matches to get me in the mood for the coming season and you forget just how much Joey contributed. Those burrowing tries from a few yards out will be sorely missed. I think looking back he was best suited to an impact hooker and I really rated him hope he goes well darn under.

Whilst his threat close to the line was great, I think his main asset was his distribution. Don't remember us having a hooker who could pass it so fast, far and accurately. It bought the halves extra time. It'll be interesting to see if Akers can up his game in that regard.
