Could be liquidated by the end of the week unless they find some money - awful. Best bet might be to take the Liverpool relocation option.

Jesus I hope someone steps in. There probably the most historic team with Wigan and saints so hope they get it sorted as they have strong fan base and a great academy due to it being a hotbed.
Istheir there anything we can do? Arrange a collection, do a ticket incentive to get to their matches?

We can't even look after ourselves and we're struggling to keep our heads above water. Any collection would be a drop in the ocean and I'd rather spend my hard earned keeping us afloat. I know that probably sounds harsh but a few hundred quid wouldn't make a tiny bit of difference and would just get swallowed up. It would probably only be very short term as well. They need new owners and an injection of cash and it looks like they'll end up "doing a Bradford" and starting again from scratch. Sad to see but unless someone can breathe new life into the sport I fear Widnes won't be the last. |

Very sad and we all know how it feels.
Sympathy is all we've got to offer.
Is this the result of bad management or being demoted or both? Any idea anyone?

Think like ourselves the Widnes ship is built on survival in SL, the minute that is lost all is lost.
I detest Widnes but would not want to see them go from the game.
Can see a package that ensures they move to Liverpoo or a safety net for the TWP being the only viable options.
