With Leigh now relegated many of their players will be looking to secure a super league gig for next season. Who are the names that we should be looking at recruiting?
Personally I would take a look at Langi, Drinkwater (over Walsh), Clare and Moa.
All are in the recent mould of functional and solid players.

The million pound game is good TV but a joke as. Contest. How can you have a competition where a team that finishes 9th could be relegated and a team that finishes 8 places below them be promoted.
Leigh were in the game only because of two really bad refereeing decisions at the end of the Leigh v Hull kr match.
It's a nobody wins game and should be dropped with the CEO of the RL from a great height.

I like it but think it should be between 2nd place championship team and 11th placed SL team.

I like it but think it should be between 2nd place championship team and 11th placed SL team. It's a crazy system where in theory a team can finish 8th on the same points ahead on gd above a team who finish 9th, 8th place team can win the league 9th can be relegated.

The challenge is to provide a worthwhile alternative format but without reducing the number of games. As long as we all agree with promotion and relegation there will alway be bad news stories of jobs being lost at relegated clubs, jeaopardy. 9 and 10 should be immune from relegation. What would the new format be,without reducing the number of games ?

What would the new format be,without reducing the number of games ? The easiest would be for the top four in the Qualifiers to be in Superleague, the bottom four to go down, but I thtypoink the only superior thing to rugby about nancyball is their promotion/relegation system. If, say, the bottom two teams were relegated and the top Championship team promoted with the next two or four competing for the second spot, then I think that over time the movement between the two top tiers may make the Championship a bit more competitive. Maybe. If it is important for whatever reason to keep the Super 8s and Qualifiers, these could be separate shield competitions like the Championship Shield. There are problems with all solutions, but I really can't stomach the idea of no promotion or relegation, and the Million Pound Game system, which could drop a 9th placed team, is hardly fair.
