Dixon13, you fear the worst next year? So do I, but then, I have done so for 30-odd years. You, sir, are a genuine Salford fan!

I was thinking to myself the other day the two outstanding players from 2017 were both brought in by Tim Sheens, Robert Lui, & Big Ben, I think it shows you the value of having the right contacts & a good eye for talent. I believe HKR will be one to watch next year as I am sure Tim Sheens will have already have is targets.
Not sure who we hare being linked with at the moment, the lack of detail is quite worrying & although we have a reasonable front line of players we will fall well short if we do not address the areas of concern.
Well done BMM, I believe Robert Lui can count himself unlucky, however I do agree with the final selection in the dream team at half back.

BMM has been immense and playing for a more glamorous team he'd have been much more highly thought of.
As for recruitment there must surely be irons in the fire, if not we are screwed, as far as the Sheens roll I maintain that we should use Dobson as an ambassador in Australia and talent spotter/scout.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who's worrying Russ, don't worry to loud we might be told we are being negative.Seriously someone posted a bit ago we could do a Castleford next season,if that come to pass I would be as happy as a sand boy.But I am afraid it will not happen.I cannot see Warrington down at the bottom next season I think the league will take a familiar shape with Possibly Wakefield progressing. So we will be in the league with Leigh Widnes Hull KR and Huddersfield.I have said on another thread that in my opinion who ever we sign has to be lot better than what we have now, none of this signing people and hoping in they step up to the plate.I know we have said in past the next season is critical well I think it certainly is,because the season after I think the league structure will change we have to be ready for that.I just hope we get the 22 points as quickly as possible.I would love to be proved wrong.

The problem is Dixon when we get 22 points you're then unhappy that we're not in the top 4, then if we get in the top 4 you'll be unhappy because we're not top. Stop asking for things to happen....just be unhappy. 😂🍺

I don't know what will happen next season but we have made progress over the past two years. This year we have also found out that we need a bigger squad and that we need to plan the season differently in order not to fall off the cliff at the end.
Dobson is a massive loss, but I was wrong as Carney isn't. I also think Sheens is a big loss and would have loved to have seen a Kear type figure taken on. So I would like some stability and openness this year and the new Supporters Club might help. IB and IW now have more experience and what really all depends on money and recruitment. Assume we've now got a marketing team in place.
The A team with Leigh is a big step forward and the Academy set up is developing. Surprised to see Williams and Bent released, not sure what to make of that and AWalne a big loss, just coming into his own.
As for MK, I think we're leading to a big announcement soon, maybe this week, as the season tickets arrive. So am I optimistic, of course, will I moan of course, will we win the Cup and the League ...😉🍾
The team who'll also be up there Wakefield, 2 great buys so far, Horo and the Auss hooker and Johnson to return.
