Sat thinking about the possibility of a trip down that London and the Doc leading the team out and it occurred to me how long Wilky tried in vain to get the club there.
Does anyone know if the Doc and Wilky remained amicable after the sale?
I wonder if they did if the Doc might invite Wilky along on the day?

Mr Wilkinson kept this club going for 30+ years,to the detriment of his health and finances. He should be the club President,but I suspect it won't happen. |

It is Genuinely sad that Wilko isn't a Regular face at Games On a subject that's puzzled us all over the years. Promoting the Red Devils how about this Borrowing this SN Airlnes Belgian red Devils sponsored aircraft in the run up to the Semi final? I reckon it'd be able to land ar Barton as long as the Grass is dry.  |

Sat at Charleroi airport I always wonder about promoting the club in Belgium, anything Red Devils related is like gold dust, whenever I'm here and Wear a Salford shirt it gets noticed.
Sadly the best Red Devils promotional stuff I have is nothing to do with Salford at all.

Yes I wholeheartedly agree that John Wilkinson deserves to be invited to Wembley should we lucky enough to eat all the pies in Warrington in the semi.
A seat at the top table would give him some reward for his passion in keeping Salford alive.
John Wilinson would certainly be a most-interesting Q & A participant, providing our questions are not too-political?

Slumming it at Charleroi eh!! It's probaly not got one of those Quick burger Places, which is always guaranteed not to be. But the frites mayonnaise is nice . They still owe me €1.25. In change from friday afternoon I come every other weekend and delight in the guys at the Leffe bar coming over and Shaking my hand when I'm queuing to get served, it pays to be alcoholic occasionally 😁 No, no Quick (soon to become BK in Northern Belgium) but oddly there is always snooker on on the big screen TV's and Panos sandwiches. |

Talking about the old regime and Wilky in particular it struck me that those that are not happy with any regime do tend to dominate an awful lot of space on forums and news reports.
As anyone asked MK if he would ask Wilky to join him if we got there?
Then again Wilky might not be interested after the stick he received when he was in charge!

I am off the understanding,that JW was made a life president off the club when the present owner took charge.He did come in the second season in that capacity.Then he lost his box the one the present owner uses that was the straw,when he left their was money owed the council I don't know if that was something to do with it. |

I think it's very likely that things didn't go well between them given what state the club was in, and the jiggery-pokery that's often involved in such dealings. And I'm sure Wilky found it very hard to let go even after he'd gone and it was too late. I appreciate anyone who keeps our club alive and I don't expect any of them to be perfect, or agree with me or even listen to me. I would like Wilky to be included if .............. but nothing would surprise me. |
