GOD is wise enough to know it's a team/squad game, nothing to say he was dropped more likely rested as week in week out he gets pummel where as Niall seems to be a little more robust.
1 - 17 that was possibly the best performance I've seen from a Salford time since the Wigan cup defeat, quite possibly for me we as the fans were the catalyst as from the get go the atmosphere was amazing and must have had a bearing on the players confidence.

Blimey dixon13. What kind of mind thinks 'brilliant performance. I can't add anything to the praise given to the team as they were pretty much flawless. I know, I'll chip in with something negative.'

Fantastic performance by every single Salford player, but for me Lama Tasi was MOTM. He put in a huge shift and made some excellent tackles.
I genuinely don't care who we get in the Semi-Finals. If we play like we did last night, I will back us to win against any team.

Did the team continue to spiral into oblivion like some were suggesting?
No they responded magnificently, well done Salford only 80 mins from a Wembley appearance....I remember being here before even though a distant one that I've tried to file away in the darkest depths of the back of my mind.

F**k me! If you've nowt positive to say after tonight, why don't you try saying nowt? I think dixon13 had many user names on the other forum - programmethrower, lance todd, flat earth stuff etc.
He`s the type who can find fault at the finest performance and if he is a Salfordian maybe his attitude has put off many coming to games.
Wasn`t he the man who maligned Michael Dobson - the consummate professional - on these boards the other week? Yet another MoM performance from MD on Thursday maybe showing why dicko doesn`t yet understand Rugby League.
Come on lad - change your tune and attitude - we are supposed to be support....ers.

There were only 15 in that team  It was a great performance last night. Not sure it was as good as the Catalans (H) or Warrington (A) performances but is probably our best cup performance since that year. Especially in defence, making a team 2 points below us and 5th in the league look so toothless was amazing defence. GOB was happy enough when he was signing our kids' stuff after the game. I was a supporter of bringing him back into the team after his injury but her has looked tired in last couple of games. To be fair the whiole team has and it is easier for opponents to pick him off when the defensive line is set rather than retreating as they were last night. I suspect if he had played last night the move he plays so well would have been very successful again because we were on the front foot so much. I don't think him and Evalds are as different as most people say. Evalds is a more clinical finisher and has better footwork, GOB is a better passer and kicker and has a slightly better "rugby brain" i think. But either can be great on their day. it's a great problem to have! Hard to pick one player out. Flanagan makes such a difference when he plays, Koppy was immense, Tasi was as immense, Dobson ran the show. Nut if i had to choose one MoM it would have to be BMM, good try, ran hard all night, great flick pass for Johnson's try and THAT hit on Ashurst was, i think, the biggest I've ever seen. As Gary Carter tweeted, if SBW had done that we'd be watching replays of it for a year. He is a monster |
