I'm curious to know how many registered users there are on Devil Talk and how many unique visitors the page gets each day?
Would one of the moderators/admins be able to find that information?
Also, how long has Devil Talk been up and running? Just over a year?

I was wondering about this too so I'm glad some one asked. Very much the experience of being an SRD fan you hope for more but you know it'll change things the moment they arrive!

What usually happens with these things is that there will be a large number of 'lurkers' who use the site as regularly as registered users but don't want to contribute for whatever reason. Some may be forum shy or fairly unfamiliar to using a PC. Others will just be happy to read the contributions. One thing that the Admin and I discussed when he set-up the site was to make sure it was as inclusive as possible, as RLFans had become toxic for many different reasons. We wanted a clean slate where not only existing RLFans members could come, but those that just lurked because of the toxic nature of RLFans would feel like contributing. Obviously, with a clean start comes the opportunity to appeal to fans through social media who had never registered on a forum before.

I gave up contributing 2-3 months ago when one of the threads was so defensive of the Dr that I thought the forum had been infiltrated by users that only wanted to promote on behalf of the owner. But needless to say, I can't keep away from Deviltalk as I am addicted to Salford RLFC too and it's good for me to see the many informative contributions by others who are closer to the club than I am and the quality of the news and info. about the club is consistently high. Thanks to the Moderators for policing the content. Praying for a win on Thursday. Jimmy Hardace.

I do pop on to read and contribute to other teams forums on RLFans as there is some decent people still there. I occasionally go on the ST but it's getting rarer. There's a steady stream of new users this season and I can't help think that the clubs fortunes on the field have a knock-on feelgood factor online.

Pardon my ignorance Carnster, but what is ST please? Cheers, JH ST is the Scarlett Turkey, the rather odd name for the old RLFans Salford board, in it's day it was brilliant but we had a flat earth fantasist, an Italian plumber and the resident Castleford legal eagle who helped contribute to making it more toxic than Hillbilly_Reds undies after a night on the old fursty ferret in the Cumber and Hearing Aid

Pardon my ignorance Carnster, but what is ST please? Cheers, JH The old forum was always the Scarlet Turkey, but it got changed towards the end as the guys that started it didn't want the name to be used after they'd left (Correct me if I'm wrong on that one anyone in the know) The Salford section of RLFans is now known as the Shed, but to those who've used it for many years it still gets referred to as the ST, or Scarlet Turkey.

Good stats and a decent mix of ages, however shame there's not more of the 18-24 bracket knocking about but I presume they're all busy studying and on the lash. Whereas the majority of us who are regular posters work in offices.

It would be interesting to see how these figures compare to those of the official club website. Personally I very rarely visit the club site and get most of my information from deviltalk or social media.

The gender split is a bit more surprising.

Apologies abts! Whoever was in Turkey, I hope you had a nice time in Marmaris. There was also someone accessing the site from Aruba recently!
