As you'll know I'm all for being positive and I've been amazed and excited by SRD but I think the wheels have fallen off and we'll be lucky to still be in the top 4 for much longer. The Trinity game and Hull tonight are more than symptoms they look like the illness. I really hope I'm wrong and take no joy in saying this and it's nothing to do with losing. As any Salford fan knows all too well losing is too much of our experience to let that worry us. But for me SRD have gone and the evidence is pretty solid.
All the best everyone and hope it turns around but my confidence is as shot as the team's.

I think we've been in a purple patch since the Toronto game. We've certainly not been half the team we know they can be. Hull looked better than us, and Kelly was the difference as I said he would be. No need to single individuals out, they were all pretty poor. Hull enthusiastic, quicker around the ruck, and worked for each other in defense. Not rocket science. Cracks are showing, but every team has a bad patch. Hopefully this will be ours and we can crack-on towards the end of the season.

I think you probably over estimated us based on many other teams suffering a lot of injuries and loss of form. We've had a fantastic run but right now we are looking jaded and things that were coming off aren't. This is why we are making more mistakes because we are trying to force things in attack to compensate. I'd imagined a lot of energy went into that run and we just look like a team now that needs some bodies back and a rest. I think we badly missed Flanagan tonight who puts a lot of defensive work in and we have certainly lost some size and power on the wings with Johnson's absence and Carney going to Hull KR. Josh Jones is another player that adds some power and I think he was a loss tonight. Plus lets not forget we had only two forward interchanges for most of the game against a big physical team.
Not wanting to take anything away from Hull they are a top team but we were a shadow tonight of most of our performances this season. It"s great to still be in the Cup but right now I think the team would benefit greatly from some faces back and a couple of weeks between games. I don't want to appear negative but I don't think we'll beat Wakey next week. The effort is there but the energy has clearly gone.
The team have done brilliant so far but let's be really honest we aren't a top 4 team if everyone has fit squads to select from. We lack pace and have lost some physical power and energy of late. I'm just surprised we didn't replace Justin Carney who must have been one of the top earners. I know we got Hasson but he won't be being paid a third of what Carney was.

Let's be positive guys. We hammered Hull at their place. We've playing 6 games in 24 days. We have a small squad with 6 players injured and Carney gone. And we haven't conceded 40 pt yet, let alone 50 like the humble pie men.
We're still 2nd and in the quarter final of the Cup. Let's look forward to next week. I hear Flash, Johnson and others back, with renewed energy. This team has only been together 11/2 seasons.
So next Thursday is another great game. Normally we wouldn't be having a game...........so we could be looking forward to a SEMI........ how good is that???,!!

2 defeats and it's all doom and gloom. Above posters were correct, we were punching above our weight. Still, I don't think we are far away. For me, hull cas and Wigan are all better teams/squads that us. Given wigans injuries we could pip them. Then Leeds and possibly wakey are similar to us. They are the teams we are fighting.
On our day we can beat anyone. Still plenty to play for. Maybe some expectations need reevaluating

I posted at half time on Twitter that the Doc and Blease must come out and take a bow, it seems like their objective of undermining everyone's spirit has worked.
The team look like they are playing on egg shells, I am pretty much 100% convinced that something is going on in the background that is effecting moral as much as spirit.
People in the stands seem certain that decisions have been made and are holding the powers that be responsible, I'll say it again that Koucash and Blease must shoulder most of the blame for tonight.
Shame on you both.

Before the season started the realistic target was avoiding the middle 8's so I'd say anything more is a bonus. Just hoping the boys can find their second wind soon so the effort and progress this year just doesn't just go to waste.

Michigan I think you need to have a look at the Doc on Sky tonight. He explains the situation. Let's just enjoy the rugby, please!

I was told he was going for a rant tonight, to be fair wasn't really a rant. Take it at face value then it sounded reasonable. We'll see this week. If they actually do as they say and market this wakey game properly then fair play. If not it will be like we have all thought, it's just another box to tick, look we're doing all we can when really they are doing bugger all. I'm going to wait and see. And whatever happens, let's get behind this team and leave the other crap to one side and deal with properly.

Can't see however that the disparaging anti social media comments aimed towards the people of Salford don't get seen by the squad, I do know with absolute certainty that it was the main topic of conversation of fellow fans before, during and after the game.

To me I think we're missing two parts of what's made us good this yer. Firstly it's the go forward in the first two or three tackles with players such as Johnson, Carney and Josh Jones. Secondly it's the tightness in the defence with Flash and Logan Tomkins Missing. I think Logan is a double miss because when he starts it allows us to bring Kris Brining on when defences are a bit more tired. I think if we throw in Lee Mossop being out for the season who was playing really well it explains some of our shortcomings last night. We've not got a big squad so hopefully we'll have a few back for the cup game.

We're still near the top of the League and we're still in the Cup. We're nowhere near the Middle 8's or the MPG.
Last night was disappointing but we move on and concentrate on Thursday's game. No point feeling sorry for ourselves.
Onwards and upwards. Keep the faith!

We look tired and jaded at the moment. These things happen. The good work done up to this point has given the team the buffer it needs when the tiredness and injuries start causing problems. That's where we are at the moment. That buffer wont be there forever though, but it does give us a little breathing space. I don't think we all need to panic just yet.
