Are we and the rest of the bottom 4 in the league from last season in the next round?
Don't know why but suspect Toronto and Salford will be the warmest balls in the bag, Toronto drawn at home and Salford to make the long international trip to Eastlands. Has banana skin written all over it for us, Widnes or Huddersfield (Leeds annoyingly seem to have found some form), think the BBC will want desperately to have Toronto playing a big game to help promote their coverage and get the inside scoop from Noble.
Wouldn't want a trip to Toulouse as again they have a top squad and they seem to be incredibly strong in France.

I think we do join the Challenge Cup a round early. I can't understand why failure in one competition means you get an extra (often meaningless) game in another.

Won't be Toulouse. Knocked out by Batley. Wouldn't object to a trip to Mount Pleasant.

I seem to remember reading, that if Toronto get drawn at home they will play the game at Etihad Community stadium, Same place where Manchester Rangers play. Possible fixture clash ? Last seasons SL bottom four come into the next round to make the numbers even

Fellow Salfordians, hear my tale:
I went to London v Toronto on Friday night as I live 'darn sarth' and wanted to see an 'historic ' match before driving up on Saturday to see us sticking the hose right up Cas on Sunday afternoon. I battled around the M25 to Craven Cottage well excited but the 'Cottagers' gave me the bum's rush before sending me to The Valley and then via the Stoop, I ended up at Griffin Park, but to no avail.......Barton doesn't look so bad after all.

Henceforth I shall me known as Mystic Michigan.
That has banana skin written all over it in a big way.
Nobles revenge.

Im abit nervous about this one. they will walk the league they are in now and they have some good ex super league players in that team.

Plus it's the weekend after Easter - so depending on:
A: Where we are in the league and what priorities Watto has and B: What knocks we've picked up
We may end up fielding a weaker team. (comparatively...) So yeah, the natural reaction is to think this may pose a big problem for us. Will most likely be on the box too.

en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toronto_WolfpackOk guys, it's not an ideal draw and they'll be well up for causing a shock, but looking at their squad would we seriously swap any of our squad for theirs? We approach this game properly with the right attitude and a strong/healthy squad and we win, simple as that. Yes they're a cut above league 1 part-timers but it's basically a squad of SL cast-offs and solid championship level players, plus the likes of Fui Fui who was a cracking prop but now way over the hill. We're at home as well so absolutely no excuses on this one. Playing the match after a busy Easter schedule isn't ideal but we should have more than enough to see Toronto off. We have just beaten the current SL leaders after all!!!

Tricky draw this one. It's the first time this season we'll get to play a competitive wolf related team.

Wonder if the Doc will look at playing in Manchester for this? He did moot the idea of playing there last season, it's hardly going to give them a massive home field advantage playing in Eastlands.

Just going to say, It's nice to get a home draw, We seem to be drawn away over the last few seasons. Cannot remember last time we were at home in the cup

Season before last wasn't it against Widnes at home? The round after we'd beaten Hull FC away with Rangis golden point that then turned out to be Nobles last action in charge of Salford. Remember coming away from Hull that night thinking we could really do something in the cup and then a shite performance at home saw us go out to Widnes on a sunny afternoon. Usual Salford stuff!
Edit: 27/04/14 - Salford 20 v Widnes 30 (att 2630)
