I don't mean the likes of Tyrone from Coronation Street, I mean proper global names. Christopher Eccleston maybe?

The only one I ever saw at games at the willows was Tony Wilson. Saw him a number of times. Of course, that doesn't help you now unless you ask the questions via a seance.  |

I always wondered if we cannot "drag" them into the fold: Albert Finney was born in Salford and has tonnes of kudos amongst the luvvies as well does Robert Powell, Joanne whalley (OK grew up in Stockport), Stephen Lord (who writes as well), Steve Evets, Kate Ford, Andrew Knott, etc.etc.etc...... Jason Manford etc.etc.etc ...
There's loads of famous Salfordians in the media (if you don't know some of the above, you'll know their faces) so it's not as if we have to trawl through a limited sea.

There's an author lives in Worsley who I know has been to Salford quite a few times called David Wilson (big crime novel writer) is a big friend of Tommy Lees so might have changed to a Saint. Might be worth a punt at a few questions.
Shaun Ryder, Peter Hook, Ryan Giggs, the ginger footballist, got to be loads more.
If you do talk to that little **** from Coronation St tell him I'll rip his head of and use his neck as a kasi (the sharp sensed amongst you might sense there is previous there).

Last seen on a episode of
"Not going out" with the Unbelievably unfunny Lee Mack. He was In a movie called Made in Romania along with
Jennifer Tilly Famous for her Sapphic scene in the movie Bound. Which I remember vividly. for some reason

Guess it depends if there has to be a Salford connection or not, seems kelvin fletchet from emmerdale is mates with the doc and a few of the players (plus the burgii), hesitate to say people like Michael Owen and Robbie fowler also due to horse racing, then there's the rl loving footballers, carrick, giggs, Barton.
From rl background some of the guys from sky, wells, Carney, and etc.
But from a Salford perspective the current players are always an interesting read, ex players like Gibbs and Tex would be good too.

How do you think Todd Carney will get on with Salford? A lot of UK RL fans see the NRL as a premier competition in the game. What do you think the NRL do well, and what do you think they need to improve on? Who in your opinion is the best British import into the NRL, historically and in the modern game? What is your opinion on the recent expansion of Toronto into the British game? Iv'e seen all the questions. When will the answers be on ? |
