In any and all events .....it seems to be Luke Walsh then! Well let's hope that we do sign Patton too then as Walsh is fragile at best since his stint at Saints. Yes please Marketing op for the club, get him sponsored by McVitie's Digestives or St John's Ambulance?TBH I hate talking about teams going down as if it didn't matter - the only time P&R is any good is when you're where HKR right now all done no worries next season in sight!

Walsh is one of those strange conundrums, when he's on his game he can be very good, controls the game well and his kicking can be very clever. But when things are not going his way he can lose his rag and goes missing, also the injury issues. Yes trueIt's looking the likely option if Cats do go down - which I'd be disappointed if they do, even though they don't contribute with away support they do bring a universal appeal and it would be a big loss to SL imo.Yeah the Cats are my second team as I lived down there for a while. And having them and Toronto in SL seems like a dream and is possibly a key to unlocking London's/BBC's poor attitude to our game.

I don't, if Leigh went down there would be an explosion of happy wee unknown to man, vile hateful team/owner. We all know the moment Cats/Widnes/Leigh go down that the asset stripping will begin, from that point of view Cats would be my choice as they have some real gems, Leigh to a lesser extent while Widnes well unless you want some artificial grass for the back garden they are pretty much useless.

Be good if Cats went down then some good matches in the Championship......Cats, Toulouse, Toronto....and Noble has to work instead of buying his way into SL.

This is a side of sport I've always hated both the hating to silly extremes and those clubs grabbing players like the worst sort of capitalist never produced anything useful in his life money maker. It may happen, I may be unable to prevent it but it's Shaite! Also it always seems to be those clubs that need it least that benefit most!

Apparently Beaumont said on the radio interview said that he was staying at Leigh and MK at Salford (or merger😉)!

In terms of catchment area for a good crowd and getting enough investment for our own ground, A team, Academy etc it would make sense. But let's see what being a poorer relation to Sale brings tho.
Will there ever get an end of season when we know a positive way forward?

So just to get this straight re-branding is the end of the world but a merger with Leigh isn't? I'm sure there's a logic there somewhere but it may as well be in Cantonese for all the sense it makes to me!

I still like Sammut - his style for open RL by running across the field - a la Dobbo - looking for runners etc would suit us - we need width and moves - sadly lacking in both currently - 5 drives and an Up & Under is not for me thank you

Hence my comment. Others views will vary.

Camster, I agree with a lot of things you put on here but I think Luke Walsh may be a good move for us. When he's on the field and not injured he's certainly a quality half back. If, as rumoured we get Dec Patton then who better to give advise to GOB and Dec on improving as a young half back. Keep him on the field with a pack going forward and we've got quality and a good footballing brain. Plus he's a fair goal kicker.

Blimey, I don't understand how that would be in anyway acceptable to anyone
