So how would they decide which 2 teams come up? Leigh and AN-other, you'd think that Bradford would be a prime choice but they seem to be in all types of trouble, so I'd guess London would be the other choice.

I don't know how it would work either.
I honestly don't think there's any truth in it, but someone on social media had this information "from a very reliable source". I doubt that very much!

Surely this must be rubbish and wishful thinking by people who don't like the middle 8's and want P - R to be simple but with a chance of yoyo? All the main players feel reducing the SL teams is the way forward so where would the motivation come from? And if it's on social media then it's a about as reliable as the Daily mails research into benefits stories!

I heard yesterday that MCB was on his way to Wakefield next season. The rumour doing the rounds was that he was going to Wigan. Not sure how true either of those claims are. Taken from 18th Man website: " The 18th Man understands Mason Caton-Brown to Wakefield is a done deal. We reported last week that the young winger wasn’t going to be offered a new contract by the Salford Red Devils, and that both London and Wakefield were interested in taking him for 2017. It looks like Trinity have won the race for the talent".

Why wouldn't we offer MCB a new contract after his performances of late? Doesn't seem right to me. London would definitely be a backward step for him and so would Wakey imo.

Unless we are swapping him for the brilliant young British winger at Wakey I just don't see the logic in letting a very talented, young British player go to a rival club when we don't have a ready made replacement. I like that MCB offers speed to compliment the battering rams who play in the back line around him.

I believe that players in the final year of their contract have to be offered a new contract by May. Prior to his amazing upturn in form a couple of months ago, he wasn't pulling up that many trees and was injured a fair bit.

A decent rule brought in to protect players and allow them time to secure employment elsewhere.

I wonder if there is any truth in the rumour that we have signed Ken Sio from HKR, would explain MCB leaving

IF The Reds do get relegated are all Super League Contracts null & void ? I think they have to be, due to the SC rules. You could end up being over the Championship cap without ever buying a player.

This seems to be the general opinion on other forums but usually stated by people who don't like the middle eights. This would explain Leigh's recruitment dash.
