It is a good move but also kinda weird, he will definitely start so I’d imagine Ryan is back up. But doesn’t help the prop situation especially with the lack of English players My goodness there is no pleasing some people. What a great few days for the club. DN was signed by Craig Bellamy last season and I think he can judge a player. Haha I thought exactly the same when I read some of the above.😂 I swear some fans can't cope with any sort of positivity. What a stupid move by the club to bring in a tried & tested NRL winger when we could've signed Norman Dibblethwaite from Thatto Heath for 6 farthings!🤷♂️ Looks like we've now missed out on Payne Haas & JWH.😢

At what point did I say he’s a bad player I’m fully aware how good he is and he’d be by far are best winger I was just pointing out it’s going to be hard to get a decent prop

Exactly the route they should take Maurice. The Blues Brothers and a few ungrateful moaners on here should wake up and smell the coffee. Our club is just starting the Renaissance. Time is required as we are building hopefully on foundations and not sand. I think there's some on high horses that need to come down for a while! Most definitely, cant have a opinion it’s a dam forum it’s what it’s for

I’m very happy if we get the best from him he’s a top winger. Sure it was you? Who’s been saying we’re getting a overseas prop (apologies if not)

DN was signed by Craig Bellamy last season and I think he can judge a player. I don't think anyone disagrees that Nofoaluma is a quality player. The question is more about, is it wise to spend our last quota spot on a winger when we are in dire need of a prop? As Maurice says, I think we'll likely loan a prop so I am not worried and trust Bleasy and Rowley, but it's still a question worth asking and a fair discussion point. I'm hoping that we learn there is a club option for an extension. If we manage to sign Nofoaluma to a longer deal I'd be over the moon that he'd be part of the club's rebuild—he's strong out of yardage, which is very important in the modern game, good in the air, and a great finisher. Personally, I like the signing from this perspective: Even if he's only here for a year, he'll bring quality and experience that should help develop players like Ryan and Cross. If we did manage to bring in a player like Towse (let him play for York at weekend), Nofoaluma could take him under his wing. Him and Nene will form a potential right edge. If he enjoys it here, he'll likely sign a longer deal... maybe we can get something done during the season. I do think it would be wise to bring in couple of young lads to develop in a FT environment—let then learn from Lafai and Nofoaluma. Looking two years down the line: Lafai will be out of contract and probably retiring. Cross will be out of contract. Nene signed a four year deal so will have two remaining. Ryan signed a three year deal so will have one remaining. Brierley will turn 34 in March that year and will have one year left on his contract.

The 1 year deal might be smart as he was let go be wests for a few issues so he’s got 1 year to impress which with him being away from Sydney he should

I have zero contacts "in the know" I'm afraid so I'll be last to hear about any potential signings. As others have said I can see a Wigan prop coming in at some point to bolster numbers and with the new ruling on under 24-year old players in the Aussie feeder comps not counting on the quota I can see maybe one of their youngsters moving across for a season (or two) as well maybe. That would give us 2 hungry young bucks wanting to make a name for themselves.

If we get a few props on loan great but I’m not a fan on relying on other clubs

No ones arguing he’s not a good player but have you seen our pack?!it’s woefully under strength and will be battered every week as it stands we were battered last year and this year we have lost Ackers from the forwards so yes great signing but that pack will not win us many games,so call me negative but the squad is weak in the forwards!

Is he here already?
Looking at the squad on the club website I thought we were lacking a center/wing in the staring 13? Was this simply because Atkin has another number or is tha space for the new signing?

Is this based on John Davidsons tweet from earlier (he named no names...).
