Sadly as Rowley said, no money, even from Sarginson leaving and I think we’ve still got a quota spot left….continuing in survival mode as per.

Noticed Dan Norman is playing for swinton this week. I’d be happy if we could get him back at Salford, big athletic prop who suits the way we play. Always went well for us, better level than Swinton (no offence) |

Looks like Lannon is going to fax permanently. I am all for players going but with a small squad we need options around the backline and upfront with Props. That is Sarge and Lannon off the play roll, I hope they can bring a player in.

Surely if Lannons off it's gotta be 1 out 1 in, can't be letting him go without replacement, we've picked 2 gems up in the past from championship clubs in cross and Dupree, see if we can do same again

I would suggest a pitch for a Barrow prop (Our ex player Jack Wells - who knows our drills and for me disappointingly moved in the close season) in exchange for Matt Costello. Then suggest a loan move for Tee Ritson at Saints.

Cozzy doing well, games he's played he scored a try in both, we need bring players in even on short term loans till bodies start coming back

Definitely wouldn’t let Costello leave. He’s our only real cover at centre and full back. And he has played well in 2 games hes played.
Bringing Wells or Johnson back for a while isn’t a bad shout. Seems odd to let Lannon leave. He can do a job at prop. No world heater but he works hard

Rowley surely has something up his sleeve to sanction this, already down to bare bones and letting a player leave permanently, let's see what happens during week if a new body comes in

Pulling the news and rumours thread together a little here. We can't afford to keep players who spend so much time on the sidelines around.
I think Greenwood isn't a bad player and should transition to prop at this point but his availability isn't good enough. As for Lannon, I've never been a fan. He puts in the effort but doesn't have the quality and gives away stupid penalties... though I'd have him in the team above Addy. I'm happy to see him go and hope we bring in a younger hungry player from the Championship or an academy. I'm not a fan of bringing Wells back though I think Johnson is a decent shout - I don't know what's happening with our prop rotation at the moment. Dupree is playing far too many minutes. Sidlow is probably doing a bit too many too. Ormonroyd is playing short stints (injured?).
As for Costello. I agree we can't let him go right now. But we need a far better backup player across the back line. I'd have liked to have seen us get Will Dagger who signed for Wakey. Costello rarely plays, which is obvious given his backup status, but though he did well defensively against a REALLY poor Wakefield team he offered little in attack (both games). Against Hudds he was poor (not the only one) but those two knock-ons from really easy kicks were shocking. Any player should catch them, the second drop which led to the final try was abysmal. I don't think he'll ever be more than a championship-calibre player, especially on the attacking front. Besides Atkin filling it at FB and Williams on the wing he's our only three-quarter backup and that's an area we need to improve rapidly. I'm hoping with Lannon gone we can get a three-quarter from the Championship. We grabbed Cross, Dupree, and Gerrard last year, all from Widnes, so there is talent to be had. There must be a decent three-quarter who wants a crack at being FT in SL.

Sidlow doing too many minutes BDB? He's only played 3 or 4 games this season hasn't he and all off the bench I think?🤔
We definitely need to manage Dupree though, he's playing massive minutes and he offers us the most impact.
Surely Wire must have a spare forward floating around their massive squad...
