Wright is now really a 13…Foster untried, Watkins won’t fully last all matches…Hellewll, not in your group but …injuries…so as last season…maybe Hankinson who to me is too good to leave out

There is no evidence that Watkins won't last his age apart.
Foster was injured so ....
Helliwell is not the only player who goes missing and a few are taking the flack or blame for team and gameplan failings.
I always thought that SRD fans were more accepting of their players.

If Sangare arrives it would seem to solve any problems in terms of options, game plan alternatives, too many minutes played as well as injury difficulties and we'd have more props that you can shake a stick at.
Back row already presented the same picture a rich number of options etc.
I can barely remember a time when SRD looked like this .......
Any other signings would be backs I'd imagine but the coaching staff keep surprising me.

Wright has played his full career at sr that’s his best position. If everyone is fit Hank isn’t it the 17 He came as a SR but didn’t Rowley bulk him up and play him as a prop or 13 for the past couple of years? No, necessity required him to go there. I'm not aware of him bulking over the past 2 years of watching him. He's just not the right build for prop and struggled to hit front on and stand props ups. I think a more back to SR would make sense as before his injury he was on fire in SR with some superb angles and runs. For me I'd get him back there and drop the ineffective stone for him. Watkins and wright would offer us far more attacking wise as well as defensively.

Let’s hope he’s not lost his speed

The options mean SRD are not as dependent on few alternatives.
Arguments about who and the state they're in at present will have little relevance when the first whistle blows.

Of course the trouble with our signings is that the excitement factor is missing and added to it being the off season means a general lack of involvement is obvious even on a forum of diehards.
Is it middles for all their hard work and essential roles or is it the fact we knew about them well in advance?
In any case, short of signing someone like Victor Radley it's hard to generate alot of enthusiasm.

Another way of looking at it, russ, is that for once we haven't been raided by opposition teams for us to rebuild as usual. The signings we're making are definitely strengthening our weak spots. We already have proper stars in our team in key areas so I'm not expecting anything from the signings this off season. What I'm seeing is good recruitment in key areas.
We maybe need to get used to this in the coming seasons, and I'm much happier it be this way than how it normally goes. Admittedly, it may not be overly exciting to some but for me we've signed decently this off season so far.

Agree C…my only concern is the age of a number of our top players
