Can't knock either of our wingers for effort and commitment but we lost two quick strike wingers and these two are not their level.Particularly pace.We are short of pace. Not many bar Brierley can go the length of the field.I also think Brierley has been very good for us but still not a fullback for me. If there is a proper fullback ie. one that is positionally good and brave in both attack and defence we should look at them. Undoubtedly we need a big and mobile prop or two.Possibly a hooker

My team for next year based on the info we have 1. Brieley 2.Hankinson 3.Masters 4.Lafai 5.Ryan 6.Nikorima 7. Sneyd 8. Ormondroyd 9. Mellor 10. Bullock 11. Watkins 12. McDonald 13. Atkin Subs Lewis Pye wright stone …. Have Wilson Singleton Morgan around as well …. Could even swap atkin for either wright or stone but I would prefer a ball player at loose forward to help the half backs and hooker out McDonald at sr won’t happen completely wasted As for atkin seems like he’s not in rowley 17 I went with McDonald as SR as I think he will provide a big impact attacking and defensive the same as Watkins did ….. yeah it seems atkin maybe out of favour but he definitely deserves a space in the line up or on bench

Don't sit on the fence mate, tell us what you really think.😂 I've been really impressed with Hankinson and really like him at FB but he doesn't have the attacking ability of Brierley when joining the line. He's also lacking a yard of pace I think so wouldn't be as effective on the wing.

Let’s face it Pye Wilson Morgan not regular SL players…maybe bench occasionally….Watkins won’t last forwver..need 3 good forwards as a start…and Hellewell better than those 3 at present
Dudson Sidlow Dixon King V off…need …must be some spare cash…or not

Sink or swim. Morgan is way off but we're covered in the halves so he can sit and learn off Sneydy. No rush with him.

Well does anyone have any better ideas or are we goin run with the same team next year ?
I’ve based my positions on what I’ve seen and what I think would work best … hankinson loves to run the ball and isn’t afraid so with the fullback and centres covered wing seems best option McDonald because I think we need a player who can make a good impact in the forwards since we are lacking some and the others because I do believe on giving young players a chance something which other clubs do a lot and seems to work for them Btw this is based on the players we know who are staying and who’s coming in
Also let’s not forget that sneyd started first team when he was young in the hooker position

McDonald at 2nd row is an awful idea. He’s our best back we need his attack. We lost on Friday because we had no real props on the bench, that is on Rowley. Play players in their correct position it’s surprisingly what the best teams do. 2 x Props, a hooker and a winger need to be priorities. Harvey Wilson is a great prospect but he is not a Prop.

Wish list
Liam Bryne Another prop - hearing rumours of Peter Hola at Canberra A good hooker A winger or McDonald on the wing if Lafai stays
If we pull off the above, there is no reason we can't make the top 4 again.

We’d need Lafai to go to get hola which would be a good thing Lafai is quality and he was great in defence on Friday night, but he'll be 34 in May and we have Marsters coming in a centre who's 28. Although I do think Lafai would still be good next year, it's always better to lose a player a year early than a year late and he might start to struggle with injuries. We need to strengthen our props, if we can get Bryne, Bienek and Hola we'll have a great pack for next season. I can see Lewis being our 13 next year with Partington off to Catalan, with Wright covering and playing more 2nd row next year. Then we could do with a hooker, shame about Brad O'Neil getting a serious injured for Wigan, as I believe we were after Forber but they're keeping hold now. We could probably manage things okay again with Cross, Ryan and Hankinson on the wing, but it would also be nice to add some quality there as we haven't really replaced Sio or Burgess.
