9.7k tickets sold as of Thursday evening so we need a big walk up on match day to break 10k. The split as we speak 6.1k Salford RD and 3.6k Leigh

The discussion on refs already sounds like people are lining up excuses. Discipline is something we control and have shown that we can listen to a ref and play a very clean and effective game. So let's not start whinging about refs before the game starts. We are the ones accountable for our Discipline, no one else.

Great news on the attendance but blimey what’s the traffic going to be like🙈 That's why I'm heading down mega early and getting myself in the pub! The roads can't cope with 5k so god knows what'll happen with 10k! I just hope fans are smart and leave extra early to get there. I can see people missing the start if they use their usual routine of getting there 5 mins before kickoff!

Not been this giddy about a game for some time!

Sadly, some people only turn up for events and success. RL has always had a problem turning those things into long term crowd and fan growth!

A few predictions for tonight;
Both sides request a delayed kickoff due to traffic chaos, which is denied so as not to upset Sky Sports. Derek Beaumont parachutes onto the pitch just before 8pm carrying a Leopard-print rugby ball that he angrily demands to be used as the match ball, before leading the away fans in a spirited rendition of the 'Macarena'. Catering runs out of pies and beer entirely before kickoff. Hardened fans forced to drink miniature bottles of prosecco left over from Sale's last game. Some secretly quite enjoy it. Brierley scores a great try right in front of the Leigh fans and gets sent to the sin-bin during Leigh's next set for holding down. On Sky, John Wilkin says that despite Salford playing well this evening, it's still very unlikely that they will make the playoffs this season as they don't have enough depth or quality. During half-time, Hull FC reveal on social media that they have signed the entire Salford squad for next season with Brad Fash coming the other way. Salford win it at the hooter with an audicious solo try from last minute suprise call up, Jack Littlejohn.
I can't wait!

Sadly, some people only turn up for events and success. RL has always had a problem turning those things into long term crowd and fan growth! This has always been the case for Salford. We have the fanbase but they wont attend much unless we get into play offs. The only way they will come back week in week out is if we win silverware. Prime examples are leigh and Warrington. For those who say salford bring nothing to super league, tonight will prove them wrong. You never get 9-10 thousand at huddersfield for a play off game for a start. Its good to see the two north west clubs other than st helens,wigan and warrington sell out a stadium. Does Salford get the gate money now or will that be from next season?

JJR parachutes into the stadium looking tanned and in good health and starts singing a song from Cabaret with Dickhead Derek. At which point they are carried off by a number of Salford fans including LH Red and Salford 1963 and taken to Platinum dining.

Whatever the result tonight, it’s great that we have finished fourth and have a record crowd. At the beginning of the season the pundits predicted a 10th or 11th finish.
The players and coaching staff have done an amazing job. Come on Reds!!
