Hoping for Leigh, HKR or even Wire to win it. Need new winners for the competition sake. Should anyone ever hope for Wire to win it?😁 I'm just hoping we get some great games. Wigan are the best team but KR could do them in a one-off. Leigh need a lot of things to go their way to win at OT IMO but good luck to them.

Was said through gritted teeth. Wire and HKR look capable of taking Wigan in a 1 off game. Leigh just lack the overall quality to take them on and Saints right now would be pummeled easily.

Given the personnel Leigh are losing this year don't really see them making the final 4 next season so hope they can upset the establishment

I may be a bit old fashioned but I thought the first half was a special one. Only two points scored. Rowley is right about defences winning games. Best defence won tonight. Lost count of the times we had players within a yard of scoring. Proud of the lads. Finally, I hope Josh Charley is OK.

We defended well in the first half but the lack of firepower and impact on the bench killed us really

I know it’s all ifs and buts the 2nd Leigh try to take them to 10-2 if partington doesn’t slip right in front of ipape he makes a good tackle but the slip creates the gap!oh well as I said ifs and buts!

I felt like we spent a lot of energy end of the first half and for a large period of the beginning of the second half defending and was worried it took a lot out of the tank which it did. Had a fair few 50/50 calls go against us especially the McDonald one but we were ugly in attack and didn't deserve it. In fact I'd go as far to say the second half of the season (ball in hand) has been disappointing, might need to look at another HB close season. Regardless we have had a great year broke the attendance record and hopefully got this stadium and finances secured and with a few new faces next year there's plenty of things to be optimistic about. Let's enjoy the break and look forward to a secure next season reds

Yes hopefully a full pre season for nikorima with sneyd will make that a better partnership everything still pretty much goes through sneyd so hopefully a full pre season will give nikorima the chance to shine

Rowley got it very wrong in his team selection, his loyalty to Brierley is ridiculous, either play Hank or Brierley. I said to Salford Slim pre match we'd lose the forward battle, and we did, Leigh were on the ropes at half time. Having Bullock and Olmondroyd on changes the dynamic. Lewis is a small prop, and Wright is not a prop, Rowley needs to stop playing players out of position, against better teams it does not work.
That said Leigh deserved the win, their defense was superb, and they had more attacking threat. Whilst I have not watched the game back Jack Smith is a bell end, he hates Salford. Both teams were never onside all game and he made a few strange decisions. The last try was similar to the one Saints had disallowed last week due to interference. I am at a point where I cannot be bothered watching the sport the officials are that bad week in week out, its laughable.
Finally, not sure what happened in the South Stand but those clowns need banning for life, no trouble in East or West stands. Salford Slim hope they identify the hair bear.

In my honest opinion we do have the players to play champagne rugby the rugby we got with Brodie yes bring in a few more players here and there but we do have the players to do it , it’s just can we put it into training and then put it into the game I really hope next year we can have a much better attack
Just hope the whole club has a brilliant mad Monday and a good holiday before pre season starts

Well it was disappointing in the end but what a ride. The 1st try was crucial. Was there an obstruction on Nene? 2nd try was a slip and well that's just the kind of "luck" that you need/don't need in a one-off game. We have to remember in all of this that we are a bits and pieces squad playing against teams who spend far more money than us. Let's hope stability gives and extra finance brings us less sales of star players and better talent brought in. We have an excellent coach who I believe given the tools could take us further. Onwards and upwards next season.

I agree with this, Props win games with the work they do ours were beaten. Lewis is a great player but not a Prop neither is Wright. Why Rowley put Brierley on the bench is beyond me. Glad the season is over and we end with a huge crowd and certainty around our stadium. I am just gutted that some daft %^*&5 spoil it for newcomers and families get put off by wrong Un's fighting with each other and running over to Leythers no need for it.

I thought it was Lewis who kept banging the same drum.
My thoughts on the ref .................. + ................. and ................!
I just watched Sky and Tomkins and Wilkin are awful and painfully negative, and made a tight, hard fought and fascinating game sound poor!
And we wonder why our crowds don't grow, if you were a new fan listening to them it's unlikely we'd see you again any time soon!

Finally, not sure what happened in the South Stand but those clowns need banning for life, no trouble in East or West stands. Salford Slim hope they identify the hair bear. Everyone knows the big & daft lad, he's notorious for being a bell-end. He needs banning. We've also got a couple of, shall we say, vertically challenged fans who have been at it for years. Buying a ST and following the team home & away doesn't give you carte blanche to act like a clown when you've had a pint. The parents letting their kids run on the pitch as well need to give their heads a wobble. If it was up to me, every fan would be handed a flyer on entrance to the ground to say that pitch encroachment will lead to a permanent ban & a fine. No exceptions. The fact we couldn't even show the players our appreciation at the final whistle as they didn't do their usual post match fan engagement really pisses me off. Some of them will never wear the shirt again and they deserved a decent send-off.
