The club said as of yesterday that Saints had sold 1,000 tickets so they will bring 1,200. I'm bringing 4, plus others are bringing new fans. Some of the 280k people in Salford need to support the team. The clubs doing what it can to get fans in.

Hanks doing a fab job at FB so Ryan can take as much time as he wants getting fit, we ain't missing him too much I wouldn't go to over the top with the praise just yet. We've played bottom of the league and a warrington side who were way off and 95% of the kicks he had to deal with were territory kicks that he wSnt challenged on He's done well in bringing it back a bit harder, but we miss another dimension without brierly attacking. Hank can't pick a pass like brierley can and also accelerate through a gap or kick. He has played well though and is a good understudy. But the test will be against a saints team that will be much more aggressive and on the front foot. He will be challenged a lot more and fingers crossed he can deal with it.

I think I am right in saying that Hanks made the tackle on Walmsley at their place in the last minute one yard short of the line and made Walmsley knock on. He will do for me.

Saints have sold over 1,250 tickets so I'd expect 1,500 of them today. We need our fans to turn up and be loud plus like last week Rowls playing 3 Props on the bench. My concern is 6, Aktin has done very little in recent matches, all the attack comes from Snyed.

What a great game. Their last try came from a lost ball by Hurrell which was given as a penalty. Next few games are definitely winnable.

Fantastic game and brilliant performance from us, feared the worst after that start and few dodgy decisions but feel that evened out and we grew in to the game. Well deserved win. On your last point… they are generally the games we don’t turn up in. I’d say cas and hull are as much of a test as today,

Quite surprised Matautia didn’t get a yellow card at some stage, two late shots on Sneyd and was at him all the match
And of course Saints never penalised for off side, Matautia again often guilty with others

Knees into Ryan was the worst offence. Needless to say, no penalty given.

Great game, wonderful effort and despite never getting the rub of the green with the ref a brilliant performance from 1-17. Salford by far the better team
As good a defensive display as I’ve seen from a Salford team…Saints tried every trick and lots of devious ones but failed
Penalty kick…player places ball, kicks towards the post, misses , team mate gathers and try scored. Who can prove he didn’t go for goal? The rule that keeps being referred to was when the ball was placed for a penalty kick and the player came up and tapped it ie never licked it forward towards the post…interesting…innovation not rewarded…but we don’t get many rewards off Jumping Jack Smith
