Rowley has been given permission to speak to Leeds, but we remain confident he will stay with us.

I think the club are doing the right thing. You refuse and you create a problem. It’s a time for a “steady as she goes” approach and trust what you have is enough.

Leeds would be an attractive proposition if Hetherington wasn't there. Most people in RL know the score on this. As it stands, they are not an attractive proposition at all. Resting their laurels on former glory without replacing their once-in-a-generation team and pretty much abandoning the development of their youth. Staff and fans alike still under the delusion that glory is just around the corner and is a given. Naivety and arrogance abound and they scratch their heads when they languish around the bottom half of SL.
We all like to laugh at Warrington because it's always their year. But to their credit, they are trying hard to produce for the future and are going in the right direction. Leeds are the polar opposite. A club on a dangerous decline. They need to keep one eye on the lesson to be learned from their near neighbours in Bradford.
I'm hoping that PR doesn't go, but if he does he'll go with my best wishes. To some extent, Salford's growing reputation in the game is largely PR's growing reputation. I fear that we'll drop back to being 'that club' without PR's name attached to it. Important crossroads about to be met methinks.

Rowls is guest on the Cas-KR game tonight apparently.
Hopefully Jenna can act more professionally than she did last season when the Brodie rumours started circulating.🤞
Now I have no idea what's going on at the moment with Rowls but if we had stadium security it would be so much easier to make ourselves an even more attractive option for players/coaches.
Really need Peel to pull their fingers out.

I have listened to Blease/Hethrington and it is clear that Rowley is in the frame. They said negotiation's for a new coach will be done privately etc and the above posts intimate that Salford have allowed Rowley to speak to Leeds which again clearly points to him being interested. If that is the case then he needs to come out of the closet and say what his intentions are. If i was offered something and I wasn't interested then I would not be negotiating any further and his previous comments alluded to being committed to the lads and the team as it is. I think he owes both the players and especially the fans a more positive feedback and either close the door on Leeds firmly to stop the rumour squads etc or explain his position that at the moment he is liaising with Leeds and negotiations are ongoing but nothing has been agreed etc. Then advise an announcement will be made at the earliest opportunity so we are all in the known regards his decision. Its no good keeping us dangling!

The Leeds press conference was barely 3 hours ago, jeez give it time! You can't expect updates at the drop of the hat. The club gave Rowley the chance to speak to Hull and he didn't take the job but they did the right thing by allowing him.
They'll be doing exactly the same with Leeds and Rowley will (quite rightly) probably want some assurances about his long-term options at Salford because without the stadium deal he'll continue having the same problems with rebuilding the squad and selling players every year. Eventually that will grind anyone down. We know he loves the club and his players and we know the club love him so from that side of things we have some decent bargaining power.
Looking from the outside, the atmosphere at Leeds looks toxic and none of the players look like they want to be there (and no matter how much the Leeds fans deny it, Brodie doesn't look as "alive" as he did at Salford). We're the opposite, not a pot to piss in yet the players seem happy and fully committed to the cause as they're loved by their coach & the fans.
Are Leeds a bigger club? Undoubtedly. Are they a more attractive proposition than little old Salford? At this moment in time, I'm really not so sure.
I think Rowley will have the convos required and decide to stay, pending assurances from Salford that next season we have the stadium secured and more financial stability. If that doesn't happen then I really wouldn't blame him for wanting a fresh challenge elsewhere next season as much as it would be heartbreaking to see.
