It's the time of year guesswork
We've had some very quick people at SRD from Powder Hall sprinters to ru run arounds alot.
I'd love to see a race between them all in their prime.
I tend to think the one that looked like they were going in slow motion were actually the fastest.

I think Offish was past his fastest when he was with us. I always remember Paul White being rapid. Broughton was quick. Nick Pinkney (spelling?) McAvoy when he first came through and before putting on some muscle.

I'm pretty sure Jodie Broughton won "Fastest Man in SL" when they used to have an annual sprint comp. I have a feeling Greg Johnson did as well but I can't find any info online about either. White couldn't half shift as well. McAvoy was like a gazelle... very rangey in his stride.

Wally McArther and Keith Fielding although Albert Lucketti could move if he sensed an ice cream sale near to the popular side stand.

Always interesting to see what people think and even more fascinating to find out who gets left off the list.

Always interesting to see what people think and even more fascinating to find out who gets left off the list. Based on modern sports science an so on the “fastest” would be a modern player but you could always add over 40 or something. Believe Joe burgess clocked some high speeds

Niall Evalds supposedly hit 34.92 km/hr when he tackled Jordan Rankin in 2019.

Speed over short distances and full length of the field are quite interesting and different, as well as with the ball in hand. All varied skills and abilities. Speed without the ability to evade and change direction is only half the battle.
Some of the quickest people we've had on the books accelerated from a standing start but after 20/30 metres were left behind by the sprinters.
