The Saturday games may cause an issue for many fans. Many, like myself, are involved with their local non league football clubs and I am sure there will be many involved in Amateur rugby too. Wigan at home on the 25th May is FA Cup Final day! Reading in League Express last week that the fixtures were not determined by TV selections and that the Clubs were more or less able to pick their own dates. On that basis it would seem Salford themselves must have picked Saturday as their main match day. As per my previous post (quoted above) seems an odd choice. Many will have renewed on the basis of games by and large being Friday night or Sunday. I have been a Season Ticket holder for 30 years and have a great seat in the West Stand but now have five or six games that could clash with my other commitments on a Saturday. I don't want to give my seat up as the following year we may revert back to Friday/Sunday but stand to lose out one way or another next season be it the Rugby or my other commitments. |
