Jeez I'd forgotten about him. Definite difference in quality between this lot that made their debuts on the same day as the original JJ!😁 1073 Bannister Stephen Forward Rochdale Hornets A 3 February 2008 1074 Borgese Chris Stand Off Rochdale Hornets A 3 February 2008 1075 Gardner Matt Wing Rochdale Hornets A 3 February 2008 1076 Jimenez James Forward Rochdale Hornets A 3 February 2008 1077 Myler Richie Scrum Half Rochdale Hornets A 3 February 2008 1078 Stapleton Craig Forward Rochdale Hornets A 3 February 2008 1079 White Paul Wing Rochdale Hornets A 3 February 2008

The main ones I remember are Carige (Number 1!), Foran, Mauro, Corvo, and Littlejohn. I always thought David Bradbury was a let down given we paid a transfer fee for him! I seem to remember people having a moan about Jason Nicol not meeting expectation but I was young and could be wrong and certainly can't comment. Wasn't he nicknamed The Skull or something?
We've had a couple who were quality but moved on in entirely the wrong fashion - Hudson Smith and Joel Moon. The club really should ensure that in those type of terminations you stipulate that they cannot signed for a UK club without a transfer fee. I wouldn't want to do any business with Hetherington after that!
I remember a few wingers we signed over the years who I thought would turn out better than they did. Hayes and Arnold from Saints, BJB from Leeds.

Stapo was quality.👍 I was merely highlighting that as good as Stapo & "that little ****"😏 turned out, we had the likes of Borgese, Gardner & JJ to offset it! Paul White scored one of my favourite ever Salford tries as well in front of the shed. Managed to step outside his oppo winger on the left touchline with barely a couple of inches to work with. He could shift that lad.

I mean we love to slag off the likes of Leeds, Wire, Wiggin for poaching our top talent but if we'd have signed 7 of Rochdale's players all on the same day I think it's fair to say there would be some rock shaped projectiles heading towards our greenhouse!😁

Mick Pobje. A aussie Fullback or Centre 1985-1986, Player 9 matches, Most memorable was a match on a Wednesday 23rd October 1985(150th anniversary book CHEERS👍) He was playing crap ,In the second half, he changed his boots , and the One Salford fan shouted, "You can get your Hatrick now, Mick." For one moment, I was certain he was going to come into the crowd and chin the fan, To be honest, it would have been more interesting than the match itself, We lost 12-27. And it was absolutely bloody brass monkeys, Freezing cold weekday away matches in October, Some people actually romanticise nights like that in Rugby-league circles. It was Kak.
